INTRAUTERINE BALLOON WITH EXPANDABLE SUPPORT AND METHODS OF USE

Hemostasis systems and related methods are generally described. In some embodiments, a hemostasis system may include an inflatable intrauterine balloon. The balloon may be configured to apply pressure to a patient's uterus to reduce the risk of postpartum hemorrhage. In some embodiments, the balloon may be inserted at least partially into the uterus and inflated. A support, which may be located inside the balloon, may expand from a contracted configuration to an expanded configuration to help maintain the balloon's position relative to the cervix when the balloon is inflated. In some embodiments, the support may contract with and/or due to deflation of the balloon, allowing the balloon to move out of the uterus. The balloon may be covered with a hemostatic covering (e.g., gauze preloaded with a hemostatic agent such as hexatomic acid) to enhance the balloon's hemostasis properties.

An ultrasound catheter with fluid delivery lumens, fluid evacuation lumens and a light source is used for the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhages. After the catheter is inserted into a blood clot in the brain, a lytic drug can be delivered to the blood clot via the fluid delivery lumens while applying ultrasonic energy to the treatment site. As the blood clot is dissolved, the liquefied blood clot can be removed by evacuation through the fluid evacuation lumens.

Methods for occluding or promoting fluid flow

Devices and methods for occluding or promoting fluid flow through openings are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment an occlusion device is provided having an expandable outer elongate tubular body, a guide member extending from a distal end of the outer body, and a slide tube disposed within the outer body, the proximal portions of the outer body and the slide tube being fixedly mated. The slide tube is configured to slide distally within the outer tubular body when the tubular body is expanded to form wings. A tether can be included as part of the device and it can be used to assist in positioning and locking a location of the device in an opening. Exemplary methods for delivering devices disclosed herein are also provided.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEMOCLIP DEPLOYMENT

Disclosed are systems and methods for safely and effectively deploying a hemoclip onto a patient's desired target using a hemoclip system. For instance, disclosed is an catheter that includes a lumen for a hemoclip to pass through. Additionally, disclosed are hemoclips that are configured to be in a compressed position until the hemoclip is deployed out of a catheter where it opens. Then, the hemoclip may be clipped onto the target to encapsulate the desired target within the patient. Once the hemoclip is clamped onto the target, the catheter can move onto the next target for successive deployment and utilization of the hemoclips without manual reload.

A device includes a clip including a capsule and a pair of clip arms, proximal ends of which are slidably received within a channel of the capsule to move the clip arms between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The clip arms are aligned relative to one another via a pin received within openings extending through proximal ends of the clip arms. A proximal portion includes a flexible shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end including a bushing releasably coupled to the capsule. A control member extends longitudinally through the flexible shaft from a proximal end to a distal end releasably coupled to the proximal ends of the clip arms, the distal end of the control member including a pair of holding jaws, each of which include a pair of fingers extending about the pin along opposing sides thereof to grip the pin therebetween.

Intra-abdominal pressure to promote hemostasis and survival

Systems, methods and kits for treating hemorrhages within cavities are provided. The methods utilize the application of a rapid spike of pressure to the closed cavity, followed by a steady state pressure or pressures.

ENDOSCOPIC METHOD AND DEVICE

Disclosed are methods for performing endoscopy comprising directing a distal end of an endoscope to proximity of a portion of a surface of a bodily cavity; and directing a liquid-gas stream at a portion of the surface of the bodily cavity. Disclosed are also devices useful in endoscopy, comprising: an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end; a nozzle at the distal end; a gas channel configured for conveying a gas from the proximal end to the nozzle; and a liquid channel configured for conveying a liquid from the proximal end to the nozzle, wherein the nozzle is configured to generate a liquid-gas stream directed in a specified direction from a gas conveyed by the gas channel and a liquid conveyed by the liquid channel.

SYSTEMS FOR ENDOSCOPIC SUBMUCOSAL DISSECTION

A surgical system for performing an endoscopic submucosal dissection includes first and second surgical clips each having first and second jaw members for grasping tissue therebetween. The first surgical clip includes a resilient member attached to one of the jaw members and configured to bow outwardly to engage tissue. The jaw members of the first surgical clip each has a pointed tip and each of the jaw members of the second surgical clip has a blunt distal tip.

Prepuce Extruding, Cutting, Hemostasis, and Healing Assembly Using Ultrasonic Wave

A prepuce extruding, cutting, hemostasis, and healing assembly using ultrasonic wave. Ultrasonic wave is applied in extruding, cutting, hemostasis, and healing of prepuce at a conjunction of internal and external tissues of a distal part of a human body. The assembly includes an ultrasonic generating device, a transmission device and a circumcision device. The ultrasonic generating device is used for generating ultrasonic waves, is connected to the transmission device and can send the ultrasonic waves to the transmission device. The transmission device is connected to the circumcision device and can send the ultrasonic waves to the circumcision device. The circumcision device is used for extruding and cutting a prepuce and/or performing hemostasis and/or healing of wounds. In this way, circumcision can be completed within just several seconds, and immediate healing can be achieved, preventing bleeding during and after a surgery.
