PORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT SEEDING DEVICE
A portable seeding device for seed planting in a seed tray includes a seed holding plate having perforations for retaining a supply of seed on said plate and distributing the seeds on said holding plate. A vacuum chamber accumulates vacuum pressure and is in contact with the seed holding plate. A vacuum generator applies a vacuum effect within the vacuum chamber. A handle formed on the vacuum chamber allows single-handed manipulation of the seeding device. The vacuum generator is formed integral to the handle. Upon applied vacuum effect within the vacuum chamber, vacuum draw is applied to the seeds on the holding plate such that the seeds are held onto the perforations of the seed holding plate. The device is thereafter held invertedly over the seed tray and the vacuum effect is ceased, whereupon the seeds are released from the perforations into the seed tray to plant the seeds.
Bulb planter
The bulb planter employs a pair of members which cooperate to form a generally cylindrical structure with a working end in a closed position. One member pivots to an open pivoted position wherein the members separate at the working ends. An angularly displaceable lever is forced toward a handle to actuate the member for pivoting. Upon release of the lever, the member pivots back to the closed position.

Portable spreader for particulate matter
A gravity-feed spreader for particulate matter may include a rotor. The spreader may be operable for gravity-feed operation with the longitudinal axis of the rotor in a horizontal position. A generally cylindrical rotor housing with a pair of closed, axial ends may be coaxial with the rotor. Entrance and exit apertures for the particulate matter may be formed in the surface of the rotor housing between the closed, axial ends. A rotor driver may be coupled to the rotor shaft for rotating the rotor. An intake housing may include a passageway therethrough for the particulate matter. A gate may be provided for selectively opening and closing the particulate matter passageway in the intake housing. An agitator may be coupled to the rotor shaft for facilitating movement of particulate matter through the passageway in the intake housing.
Apparatus for dispensing fill material into a golf course divot hole
A bottle for storing grass seeds, soil, and/or fertilizer used for filling a golf divot is provided. The bottle includes a bottom section having a base and a perimetrical sidewall extending therefrom to an open end to define an interior. A pair of bosses extend outwardly from the sidewall at the open end. The top section has a perimetrical edge and a top surface with a spout extending therefrom for discharging the contents of the bottle. A pair of latches that extend from the perimetrical edge and pivot downwardly to engage the bosses to secure the top section to the bottom section. The bottle can also be part of an assembly that includes the bottle and a holder.

HAND-HELD SPREADER HAVING A BASE ATTACHABLE TO A PLURALITY OF DIFFERENT HOPPERS
A hand-held spreader is provided having a base with a mechanism for spreading particulate material response to turning a hand crank. The base is universally attachable to hoppers of different types which provide particulate material to the base for spreading. Different types of hoppers when attached to the base can adapt the spreader to spread different particulate material, such as of seed or salt. Teeth may be provided along upper edge of the hopper for use in scooping up particulate material into the hopper. Another type of hopper which can be attached to the base has a closed top end to provide a sealed container of particulate material, and has a sealing member releasable from the hopper to allow flow of particulate material from the hopper to the attached base.

Hose-end spreader
A hose-end spreader device includes a hopper configured to contain an amount of granular product, the hopper comprising a hopper inlet and a hopper outlet in communication with the hopper inlet. The device further includes a first chamber in communication with the hopper outlet, the first chamber comprising a first opening through which the granular product exits the device, and a first impeller disposed in the first chamber. Also included are a housing disposed below the first chamber, the housing comprising a fluid inlet, a second chamber in communication with the fluid inlet, and a second opening in communication with the second chamber through which a fluid exits the device, and a second impeller disposed in the second chamber. The second impeller is coupled to the first impeller.
TURF REPAIR DISPENSER AND METHOD FOR TURF REPAIR
One aspect of the invention provides a dispenser including a cylinder defining: a first, closed end; a second, open end; and an articulating region proximate to the second, open end. The articulating region is adapted and configured to: resiliently bend between at least: a first position in which all portions of the cylinder have a substantially linear profile; and a second position in which the articulating portion and any portion of the cylinder between the articulating portion and the second, open end of the cylinder bend at least 90 relative to a portion of the cylinder between the articulating region and first, closed end; and maintain either the first position or the second position without the need for force or support.
