Sour water treatment
A system and method of treating sour water, including providing sour water having hydrosulfide ions and a carbon-containing compound to an anodic chamber of an electrolyzer vessel, converting the hydrosulfide ions into sulfate ions in the anodic chamber via an oxido half-reaction of a first oxido-reduction reaction and generating carbon dioxide in the anodic chamber via an oxido half-reaction of a second oxido-reduction reaction associated with the carbon-containing compound. The technique includes reacting the carbon dioxide with hydroxide ions in the anodic chamber to generate bicarbonate ions. The technique includes discharging an anodic chamber solution having the sulfate ions and the bicarbonate ions from the electrolyzer vessel from the anodic chamber.
HYBRID ELECTRODIALYSIS AND ELECTROLYSIS SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES
Disclosed are systems and processes for the removal and conversion of pollutants in water. A system includes a set of electrodes with at least one electrode having an integrated catalyst material. The system is operatable in a first, electrodialysis mode in which one or more pollutants are separated from a feedwater stream, and a second electrolysis mode in which the separated pollutant(s) are catalytically converted into benign products by way of the catalyst material of the electrode. Electrodialysis and electrolysis are therefore carried out using the same unit.
SOLID POLYMER MEMBRANE ELECTRODE
A problem of the present invention is to provide a solid polymer membrane electrode capable of obtaining electrolyzed hydrogen water in which an increase of the pH is suppressed and which has a sufficient dissolved-hydrogen amount. The present invention is concerned with a solid polymer membrane electrode for generating electrolyzed water, wherein the solid polymer membrane electrode includes a solid polymer membrane and catalyst layers containing a platinum group metal and provided on the back and front of the solid polymer membrane; and the solid polymer membrane is a hydrocarbon-based cation exchange membrane and has an ion exchange capacity per unit area of 0.002 mmol/cm.sup.2 or more and 0.030 mmol/cm.sup.2 or less.
Disc-type electrocatalytic water treatment device
A disc type electrocatalytic water treatment device, characterized in that: comprising: a housing having a water inlet and a water outlet, a plurality of cathode plates and anode plates sequentially and alternately stacked inside the housing, a central shaft passes through central holes of the cathode plates and anode plates and compress the cathode plates to form a disc-shaped structure while the cathode plate and the anode plate are separated at the central holes. A wastewater to be treated is guided to enter from the water inlet, flow inwardly and outwardly to sequentially pass through the cathode plate and the anode plate such that a passage route is formed, and finally flows out from the water outlet.
MULTI-FUNCTION POOL SKIMMER WATER TREATMENT METHOD
A water treatment insert for a pool skimmer system includes a chemical treatment portion separated from a mechanical filtration portion. The treatment device includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper section can include a vertical wall or walls, which should be substantially watertight so that substantially all the water entering the pool skimmer flows through the upper portion, and then into the lower section. The entire device is preferably received in the filter basket receiving section of a conventional pool skimmer, in place of the conventional filter basket. One of the upper and lower sections provides mechanical filtration and the other chemical treatment, to enhance the water treatment function of the skimmer.
Hydrogen water generator
A hydrogen water generator includes a hydrogen water discharger including a water outlet, a seating unit disposed under the water outlet and forming a seating surface, a water container seatable on the seating surface and including an opening at an upper end of the water container, and a first magnetic body at a lower end of the water container, and the seating unit including a second magnetic body. When the water container is seated on the seating surface, the first magnetic body and the second magnetic body are attractable to each other to position the water container with respect to the water outlet.
Systems and methods of water treatment for hydrogen production
A method includes providing raw water into a first filter assembly to remove solids from the raw water to form a filtrate, providing the filtrate from the first filter assembly into a second filter assembly to electrochemically remove ionics from the filtrate to form purified water, and providing the purified water to an electrolyzer to generate hydrogen by electrolyzing the purified water.
ORAL CLEANING APPARATUS
One purpose of the present invention is to provide an oral cleaning apparatus having a beautiful appearance and reducing fatigue when used. The present invention provides an oral cleaning apparatus. According to an embodiment, an oral cleaning apparatus comprises: a body having a donut shape with a hole formed therein when viewed from the side, the body including a front portion provided in front of the hole and a rear portion provided behind the hole; a nozzle tip provided at the front portion of the body and discharging cleaning water to the outside; a water tank provided in the body and storing the cleaning water; a pump for pumping the cleaning water, which is stored in the water tank, to the nozzle tip; and a power source for supplying power to the pump, wherein the center of gravity of the body may be provided biased toward the front portion.
Removal of phosphorus and nitrogen from water
Various embodiments relate to methods and systems for removing phosphorus and/or nitrogen from water. A method of removing phosphorus and nitrogen from water includes passing starting material water including nitrogen and phosphorus through an elevated pH phosphorus removal stage. The method includes passing the water through an electrolytic nitrogen removal stage. The method includes passing the water through a galvanic phosphorus removal stage. The water produced by the method has a lower phosphorus concentration and a lower nitrogen concentration than the starting material water.
