ORTHOPAEDIC SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEFECT INDICATION
20230034566 · 2023-02-02 ·

This disclosure relates to surgical devices and methods for repairing bone defects. The defect indicators disclosed herein may be utilized to indicate a precise location of the defect associated with an articular surface of a joint.

Set of tools for installing an implant

A set of tools for installation of a stem implant into a bone comprises a stem-shaped priming tool (1) having a distal tip (32) and a plurality of cutting teeth (31) along a length thereof and a plurality of stem-shaped broaches (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) of different size. Each of the broaches have a distal tip and a plurality of cutting teeth along a length thereof. The priming tool (1) is shorter than, has more cutting teeth (31) per unit length, and has a sharper distal tip (32) than the smallest broach.

LATERAL SLEEVE PIPE DRILL AND OPERATING METHOD
20220346808 · 2022-11-03 ·

The present disclosure relates to a lateral sleeve pipe drill and a operating method, belong to the field of surgical instrument technologies, and solves the problems that a bone passage cannot be effectively corrected and is liable to be corrected excessively, and correction is time-consuming and damages important functional bone tissue morphology. The lateral sleeve pipe drill is of a hollow cylindrical shape and includes a first end and a second end. An outer wall of the first end is provided with a correction portion for correcting the bone passage. The first end is arranged in a human body and is of a particular shape adapted to different surgical methods, a surgical approach direction, and a human body internal structure.

BI-DIRECTIONAL DISK REMOVAL AND DECORTICATION TOOL

The present disclosure provides a cutting tool for surgical procedures. More specifically, the present cutting tool is suitable for bi-directional cutting and removal of soft and hard tissues for surgical procedures. The cutting tool includes a substantially rigid shaft having a shaped end portion. The shaped end portion includes a plurality of shaped talons; each talon including a body bent to retain tissue, and each talon including a cutter end. The cutter end includes both acute and obtuse cutting surface relief angles for diverse cutting action with respect to hard and soft tissues.

METHODS FOR LESS INVASIVE GLENOID REPLACEMENT
20230081505 · 2023-03-16 ·

The invention features a glenoid (shoulder socket) implant prosthesis, a humeral implant prosthesis, devices for implanting glenoid and humeral implant prostheses, and less invasive methods of their use for the treatment of an injured or damaged shoulder.

TRIAL NECK

Kits and methods for use in intraoperative trialling of hip prostheses to determine an appropriate length for the femoral neck component of a prosthetic hip joint, are described. A kit for use in selecting a femoral neck component of an orthopaedic joint prosthesis kit comprises a first and a second broach. Each of the first and second broaches has a neck connection element comprising a projection extending from a proximal surface of the broach, each projection having a length. The projection on the first broach has a different length than the projection on the second broach. The kit also includes a trial femoral neck component having a neck connection element in the form of a recess in a distal surface. The recess is configured to mate with the projection on each of the first or second broaches such that mating of the trial femoral neck component with the first broach provides an assembly with a first neck length, and the mating of the trial femoral neck component with the second broach provides an assembly with a second neck length.

Surgical tool with feedback

A method and apparatus are disclosed. The method includes removably attaching an input device of a surgical feedback system to a surgical tool having a handle. The input device has at least one sensor configured to collect a plurality of original signals. The plurality of original signals has at least one of an acoustic signal or a vibration signal. The surgical tool contacts tissue of a patient. And, a notification of the type of tissue being contacted by the surgical tool is received.

Orthopaedic instrument system including an instrument caddy and method for assembling a surgical instrument

An orthopaedic instrument system including an instrument caddy is disclosed. The instrument caddy is configured to receive one or more cutting broaches to house the cutting broaches between orthopaedic surgical procedures. The instrument caddy is also configured to be used during a surgical procedure to assist a user in assembling the cutting broach with another surgical instrument. A method of assembling a surgical instrument is also disclosed.

GUIDE APPARATUS FOR SURGICAL CUTTING TOOL

A guide apparatus for a surgical cutting tool includes a plurality of plates arranged in parallel with a guide plane. The plates form opposing bearing surfaces spaced apart over a clearance distance that defines an opening. A sheath includes a cylindrical portion that extends along a longitudinal axis and forms an interior passage extending through cylindrical portion along the longitudinal axis. The cylindrical portion of the sheath slidably engages the opening through the clearance distance, and the interior passage of the sheath receives a rotary cutting head of the surgical cutting tool in an operating configuration.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR LESS INVASIVE GLENOID REPLACEMENT

The invention relates to a glenoid (shoulder socket) implant prosthesis, a humeral implant prosthesis, devices for implanting glenoid and humeral implant prostheses, and less invasive methods of their use for the treatment of an injured or damaged shoulder.
