The present disclosure relates to curved cover glass used for a curved display, and a manufacturing method thereof. The present disclosure provides tempered glass comprising: glass including a curved area; and a low-reflection coating layer, coated on a surface of the glass, composed of a mixture of a binder and a hollow material, wherein the glass comprises potassium ions which penetrate up to a predetermined depth therein. According to the present disclosure, a low-reflection coating layer is formed prior to curved surface processing, and thus, the low-reflection coating layer can be uniformly formed even on areas having different curvatures. Thus, the present disclosure can minimize the color difference generated in curved glass due to low-reflection coating layers.

A curved glass and a preparation method is provided. The preparation method for curved glass includes: melting a glass batch into a glass liquid, and clearing the glass liquid; introducing the cleared glass liquid into a mold cavity with a preset shape, and forming, by using a compression molding process, a glass product with a shape corresponding to that of the curved glass, where a size of the glass product is greater than a size of the curved glass; annealing the molded glass product; and processing the annealed glass product into the curved glass based on the shape and the size of the curved glass.

Refractory glass-forming tools, including glass-forming molds incorporating protective metal nitride surface coatings, with optional alumina barrier layers disposed between the mold bodies and coating for high-temperature nitride coating stability, offering particular advantages for the manufacture by direct molding of optically finished glass products such as information display cover glasses from refractory alkali aluminosilicate glasses at molding temperatures up to and above 800 C.
