WATER BASED COATING
A heat curable aqueous composition comprising: (a) water; (b) at least 5 wt % sodium pyrophosphate, at least 5 wt % sodium phosphate monobasic, at least 5 wt % sodium triphosphate, at least 5 wt % monoammonium phosphate, at least 5 wt % diammonium phosphate, or at least 5 wt % of a mixture thereof, based on the total weight of the composition including the weight of the water; and (c) at least one pigment, or at least one metal-containing ingredient, or a mixture of at least one pigment and at least one metal-containing ingredient.
Methods for forming and uses of titania-coated inorganic particles
A method of forming a titania-coated inorganic particle comprising the steps of: (a) agitating a mixture of inorganic particle and organic solvent; (b) adding titania precursor dropwise into the mixture of step (a) under agitation; and (c) adding catalyst to the mixture of step (b) thereby converting said titania precursor to titania which then forms a coating on said inorganic particle; wherein steps (a) to (c) are performed at neutral pH and ambient temperature.
Method of preparing light scattering layer
Provided is a method of preparing a light scattering layer including voids as a light scattering enhancer instead of metal oxide particles. Provided is also a light scattering layer including voids as a light scattering enhancer instead of metal oxide particles. Provided is also an organic electroluminescent device including the light scattering layer that includes voids as the light scattering enhancer instead of metal oxide particles.
SACCHARIDE-BASED COMPOSITION FOR PROVIDING THERMAL INSULATION AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A multi-layered composition for externally coating glass and ceramic substrates to provide thermal insulation and resistance of the substrate itself, and any further substances enclosed in the substrate in the case where the substrate is an open or enclosed container. Also provided are methods of manufacture and application for the disclosed composition.
Dust repellent silica and titania coatings
Novel coatings disclosed herein can be used to mitigate dust adhesion. In one embodiment, a method of making a dust repellant coating includes combining a titanium dioxide sol with colloidal silica to form a mixture. The method also includes adding solvent to the mixture, stirring the mixture for about an hour, and filtering the mixture into a solution of titanium dioxide and silica dioxide.
METHOD OF PROCESSING WINDOW MEMBER
A method of processing a window member according to an embodiment includes applying a protective coating agent including at least one of a siloxane derivative and an inorganic sol compound onto a glass substrate, performing a heat treatment on the applied protective coating agent to form a protective layer on the glass substrate, thermoforming the glass substrate, and removing the protective layer, so as to process the window member without degradation of optical characteristics and without surface damages of the glass substrate.
BARRIERS FOR GLASS AND OTHER MATERIALS
Embodiments described herein generally relate to articles and methods for containing compositions comprising hydrogen gas. In some embodiments, the article comprises a container that comprises glass. In some cases, the container may further comprise TiO.sub.2, which may be embedded within the glass, coated on the glass, etc. The container further may contain a composition within the container. In some cases, the composition may comprise dissolved hydrogen gas. Such compositions may be useful, for example, for the treatment of animal and human diseases, for improvement in athletic performance, for the enhancement of the overall health of a subject, or the like.
