Device and method for manual aspiration and removal of an undesirable material

The present invention is directed to a manually actuated aspiration device, aspiration system and a method of use to enable and facilitate en bloc removal of undesirable intravascular material, including, but not limited to, thrombus, embolus, or vegetation through a working lumen of a suction cannula during minimally invasive percutaneous procedures. The aspiration device includes valves oriented in opposite direction to control the fluid flow through the aspiration system and into a waste collection component. Alternatively, the aspiration system further comprises a filter that removes undesirable intravascular material prior to reinfusing blood into a patient's vasculature.

Method of removing embolic material with thrombus engagement tool

A method of removing embolic material from a vessel with mechanical and aspiration assistance. The method comprises the steps of providing an aspiration catheter having a central lumen and a distal end, advancing the distal end of the aspiration catheter to obstructive material in a vessel, applying vacuum to the central lumen to draw clot into the central lumen, introducing a thrombus engagement tool into the central lumen, and manually manipulating the tip to engage clot between the tip and an inside wall of the central lumen.

FOREIGN OBJECT REMOVAL DEVICE

A foreign object removal device is disclosed, which includes a protective sheath, and a device main body, which is disposed in a lumen of the protective sheath, can protrude from a distal end opening of the protective sheath communicating with the lumen and is rotatable relative to the protective sheath. The device main body includes, at a distal end portion protruding from the distal end opening, a screw which rotates integrally with the device main body and in which a flat plate is twisted, and side edges of the flat plate are formed in a spiral shape.

ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXPLOITING INTRAMURAL SPACE

Devices and methods for the treatment of chronic total occlusions are provided. One disclosed embodiment comprises a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein. The method includes inserting an intramural crossing device into the vascular lumen, positioning at least the distal tip of the crossing device in the vascular wall, advancing an orienting device over the crossing device such that an orienting element of the orienting device resides in the vascular wall, inserting a reentry device, and re-entering the true vascular lumen.

VIBRATION SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR EXTRACTION OF A LEAD OF A CARDIAC IMPLANTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
20230190315 · 2023-06-22 ·

The present disclosure provides a lead locking device that is configured to be inserted into a lumen of a lead of a cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED), such as a lead of a pacemaker, and being locked at a selected position along the lumen for being retained there for allowing extraction of the lead and/or applying vibrations to the selected position. The lead locking device includes a deformable element that may deform by application of force thereon and the deformation thereof results in radial expansion thereof such that if it is disposed within a lumen of a lead, it presses against the walls of the lumen and applies force that retains the lead locking device in position. The deformable element may be configured for reversible deformation, namely that upon removal of the force that is applied thereon, it is reversed to a contracted, non-engaging state where its radial dimension is lower than the dimension of the lumen. The deformable element may be in the form of a metallic braid, a flexible rod or a wire, an inflatable member, a spring, a structural weakening portion in a body member, such as cuts or holes, allowing a portion of the body to expand, etc.

Obstruction Removal System

An obstruction removal device is described, having one or more engaging members which can engage portions of the clot. The one or more engaging members have a collapsed, delivery state, and an expanded, deployed state which in some embodiments can be locked to maintain its fixed configuration.

INVERTING THROMBECTOMY APPARATUSES AND METHODS

Rolling tractor tube mechanical thrombectomy apparatuses that may be deployed from out of a catheter in situ are described herein. These apparatuses may be delivered out of a catheter from a collapsed delivery configuration within the catheter to a deployed configuration out of the catheter, in which the same catheter is re-inserted between a tubular tractor and an elongate puller. In particular, any of these methods and apparatuses may be adapted to work with a tractor tube having an open end that is biased open, including using an annular bias.

MEDICAL GRASPING DEVICE

A medical grasping device is disclosed. The medical grasping device may be configured to retrieve an object from within a body lumen. A medical grasping device assembly, wherein a portion of the medical grasping device is disposed within a lumen of a delivery sheath, and methods of using the medical grasping device assembly are also disclosed.

An apparatus for treating hemorrhoids including a first member having a proximal portion, a distal portion and a window formed therein to receive tissue. A third member is operably connected to the second member and movable between a first position and a second position, the third member having a clamping surface movable to the second position to provide a clamping force on tissue received through the window. Movement of the second member in a distal direction moves the third member in the distal direction toward the second position, the third member movable in a distal direction until such movement is limited due to contact and compression of tissue within the window, the second member continuing movement in the distal direction after movement of the third member in the distal direction has been limited.

Method, system, and fastener for anchoring a corpus
09833306 · 2017-12-05 · ·

There is described a method, a system, and a device for the anchoring of and into a corpus disposed distally in a conduit by engaging a stranded tube with the corpus and unwinding the wound threads of the stranded tube into unwound threads. Engagement includes the use of handling and manipulation shaft to dispose the stranded tube proximally, distally, or in the interior to the corpus. Unwinding, of the stranded tube is achieved by rotating a tube tool against the stranded tube. Unwinding liberates the helically coiled unwound strands in “corkscrew” rotation into the corpus. Proximal retrieval of a corpus is achieved by proximal retrieval of the stranded tube anchoring the corpus. An unwound stranded tube is operable as a fastener, as an electrical lead, and as a support for a device.
