Settable compositions comprising remediated fly ash (RFA) and methods of cementing in subterranean formations
Some embodiments of the present invention comprise a method of cementing comprising: placing a settable composition into a well bore, the settable composition comprising RFA, hydraulic cement, and water; and allowing the settable composition to set. Other embodiments comprise a method of cementing comprising: placing a settable composition into a well bore, the settable composition comprising RFA, calcium hydroxide (lime), and water; and allowing the settable composition to set. Other embodiments comprise a settable composition comprising: RFA, hydraulic cement, calcium hydroxide, natural pozzolan and water; and allowing the composition to set. Other embodiments comprise a settable composition comprising RFA and any combination of hydraulic cement, calcium hydroxide, slag, fly ash, and natural or other pozzolan.
Low density cementitious compositions for use at low and high temperatures
A cementitious binder, includes a hydraulic binder in an amount in the range from 50 to 80% by weight of the cementitious binder; a first siliceous based material in an amount in the range from 0.5 to 35% by weight of the cementitious binder, the first siliceous based material having a (SiO.sub.2)/(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) ratio by weight greater than 2.5; a second siliceous based material in an amount in the range from 10 to 25% by weight of the cementitious binder, the second siliceous based material being different from the first siliceous based material and having (a) a (SiO.sub.2)/(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) ratio by weight greater than 10 and (b) a BET specific surface area greater than 5 m.sup.2/g; and an aluminum based material in the range from 0 to 10% by weight of the cementitious binder and having a (SiO.sub.2)/(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) ratio by weight lower than 2.5, wherein 0.09<Al.sub.EFF/(Al.sub.EFF+Si.sub.EFF)<0.28, where Al.sub.EFF=molar content of alumina aluminum in the hydraulic binder, and Si.sub.EFF=molar content of silica in the first siliceous based material for particles having a size lower than 3 m+molar content of silica in the second siliceous based material.
Low density cementitious compositions for use at low and high temperatures
A cementitious binder, includes a hydraulic binder in an amount in the range from 50 to 80% by weight of the cementitious binder; a first siliceous based material in an amount in the range from 0.5 to 35% by weight of the cementitious binder, the first siliceous based material having a (SiO.sub.2)/(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) ratio by weight greater than 2.5; a second siliceous based material in an amount in the range from 10 to 25% by weight of the cementitious binder, the second siliceous based material being different from the first siliceous based material and having (a) a (SiO.sub.2)/(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) ratio by weight greater than 10 and (b) a BET specific surface area greater than 5 m.sup.2/g; and an aluminum based material in the range from 0 to 10% by weight of the cementitious binder and having a (SiO.sub.2)/(Al.sub.2O.sub.3) ratio by weight lower than 2.5, wherein 0.09<Al.sub.EFF/(Al.sub.EFF+Si.sub.EFF)<0.28, where Al.sub.EFF=molar content of alumina aluminum in the hydraulic binder, and Si.sub.EFF=molar content of silica in the first siliceous based material for particles having a size lower than 3 m+molar content of silica in the second siliceous based material.
PLASTER COMPOSITION
A plaster composition includes a joint compound/drywall mud and from about 0.5 wt % to about 10 wt % silica (e.g., hydrophilic fumed silica). The plaster composition may be a repair composition. The repair composition may be dispensed as an aerosol using a propellant. The repair composition may be useful for repairing popcorn textured ceilings.

A plaster composition includes a joint compound/drywall mud and from about 0.5 wt % to about 10 wt % silica (e.g., hydrophilic fumed silica). The plaster composition may be a repair composition. The repair composition may be dispensed as an aerosol using a propellant. The repair composition may be useful for repairing popcorn textured ceilings.
Hydrolytically degradable composition
Disclosed are time controlled, hydrolytically degradable compositions that include a polyurethane; precipitated silica, carbon black, or a combination thereof; an organic acid adapted to facilitate degradation when the composition is contacted with water; a stabilizer; a first crosslinking agent; and an optional co-agent. The composition is adapted to degrade over a predetermined time period upon contact with water at a pH ranging from 5 to 8 and at a temperature ranging from 100 F. to 250 F.
Hydrolytically degradable composition
Disclosed are time controlled, hydrolytically degradable compositions that include a polyurethane; precipitated silica, carbon black, or a combination thereof; an organic acid adapted to facilitate degradation when the composition is contacted with water; a stabilizer; a first crosslinking agent; and an optional co-agent. The composition is adapted to degrade over a predetermined time period upon contact with water at a pH ranging from 5 to 8 and at a temperature ranging from 100 F. to 250 F.
CEMENT RESIN HYBRID PAINT AND COATING
A system for forming a coating on a substrate is provided. The system includes a first mix having a cement, a filler, a defoamer, a cement retarder, a dispersing agent, or any combination thereof. The system additionally includes a second mix having a fatty acid derivative, a synthetic resin, one or more organosilicon compounds, a pigment, a thickener, or any combination thereof. A coating composition is formed by mixing the first and second mix together. Lastly, the system includes a spraying apparatus that applies a wet film to the substrate wherein the cured coating does not yield to wet-rubs and does not stain (effloresce) with cold distilled water.

SPRAYABLE SILICATE-BASED COATINGS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND APPLYING SAME
The present invention relates generally to silicate-based coatings and to methods to make and apply same. In one embodiment, the silicate-coatings of the present invention are formed from a two part mixture of phosphate-based component and a glass-based component. In another embodiment, the silicate-based coatings of the present invention are free from any organic materials.
