Light-weight, high strength, polymer concrete support blocks, and systems incorporating same
The present disclosure relates to support blocks that can be used for decks and foundations fabricated from polymer concrete. Yet further, the present disclosure relates to deck, floor, and foundation systems comprising the disclosed support blocks. The support blocks can mate with or otherwise serve as foundation elements for use in conjunction with construction elements such as posts, joists, stringers, mounting frames, and equipment, among other things.
HIGH SURFACE AREA INDUCERS FOR CEMENTITIOUS AGGREGATES PRODUCTION
Method and composition for producing aggregates from cement and concrete, including residual or returned concrete. Exemplary methods involve the use of an aggregate-forming inducer that provides a surface anchoring site for cement paste to bond/adhere, such as shredded news print, cardboard, or mixtures thereof, and also including fiber materials such as polymers, glass, and other material fibers. The aggregate-forming inducer is mixed with fresh concrete until aggregates are formed.

Methods of completing a well and apparatus therefor
A method can include conveying a dispensing tool through a wellbore, the dispensing tool including an enclosure containing plugging devices, and then opening the enclosure by cutting a material of the enclosure, thereby releasing the plugging devices from the enclosure into the wellbore at a downhole location. A dispensing tool can include a container having an enclosure therein, the enclosure including a flexible material that contains the plugging devices, and an end of the enclosure being secured to a member displaceable by an actuator. The enclosure material is cut in response to displacement of the member by the actuator. A plugging device can include at least one body configured to engage an opening in the well and block fluid flow through the opening, and multiple fibers including staple fibers or filaments formed into yarn.

Inorganic board and method for producing the same
An object of the present invention is to provide an inorganic board suitable for achieving high specific strength and high freeze-thaw resistance as well as weight reduction and a method for producing the inorganic board. An inorganic board X1 according to the present invention includes a cured layer 11 that includes an inorganic cured matrix, an organic reinforcement material dispersed therein, and a hollow body that is attached to the organic reinforcement material and is smaller than the maximum length of the organic reinforcement material. A method for producing an inorganic board according to the present invention includes a first step of preparing a first mixture through mixing of an organic reinforcement material and a hollow body smaller than the maximum length of the organic reinforcement material, a second step of preparing a second mixture through mixing of the first mixture, a hydraulic material, and a siliceous material, and a third step of forming a second mixture mat by depositing the second mixture.

Composition and structures created therewith
According to aspects of the present disclosure, a composition is disclosed, which can be utilized to construct a retention structure, e.g., for use with hardscape such as pavers, tile, stone, and other building materials. The composition is a mixture of a cement component (e.g., Portland cement), a sand component, a gravel component, a silica fume component, and fiber component, the above-components mixed in varying ratios. When the cement component, sand component, gravel component, silica fume component, and fiber component are mixed in an effective amount, combined with a water component, and applied against a hardscape, the composition, once cured, defines a retention structure that abuts to, but is not adhered to the hardscape.

COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A HIGH DUCTILITY FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER REBAR
A fiber reinforced polymer rebar composition and a method of forming the rebar composition is described. The method includes the steps of feeding a first fiber and a second fiber simultaneously through a preforming guide into a resin impregnator, pulling the fibers through the liquid polymeric resin in the resin impregnator to form a resin-soaked hybrid fiber, and passing the resin-soaked hybrid fiber through a heated stationary die where the resin of the resin-soaked hybrid fiber undergoes polymerization and cross-linking.
