INORGANIC BOARD MANUFACTURING METHOD AND INORGANIC BOARD
An object is to provide an inorganic board and a method for manufacturing the same that are suited to achieving high waterproofness.
A manufacturing method of the present invention includes first to sixth steps. The first step involves depositing a raw material on a receiving plate B1 to form a first layer L1. The second step involves pressing a first portion Ma and a second portion Mb of a raw material mat M including the first layer L1 toward the receiving plate B1 to compress the first portion Ma and the second portion Mb. The first portion Ma and the second portion Mb are one end portion and the other end portion, respectively, of the raw material mat M in a first direction D1. The third step involves depositing a raw material on the first layer L1 to form a second layer L2. The fourth step involves planarizing an exposed surface of the second layer L2. The fifth step involves curing the raw material mat M pressed between the receiving plate B1 and a pressing plate B2 to form a cured plate M′ from raw material mat M. The sixth step involves processing the first portion Ma and the second portion Mb into a first back-side joint part P1 and a first front-side joint part P2, respectively. An inorganic board X1 according to the present invention includes the first back-side joint part P1 and the first front-side joint part P2 that are high-density parts.

CARBON NEGATIVE CONCRETE PRODUCTION THROUGH THE USE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
The present invention relates to additives and, more specifically, the use of biochar, in concrete and other cementitious materials to provide for building materials that have a lower carbon footprint than their traditional counterparts. Traditional methods for production of cement produce large amount of carbon dioxide (CO2). When coupled with the massive demand for cement building materials around the world, this means that the cement production has a significant impact on the amount of CO2 produced globally. By including biochar and other additives along with, or instead of some traditional components of cement, one may be able to provide for cementitious building materials that sequester carbon, rather than release it.

Composite materials containing hemp and nanocellulose
Disclosed is a new composite material comprising nanocellulose and hemp or a hemp-derived component, such as pure hemp, hemp bast fibers, hemp inner fibers, hemp shives, hemp leaves, hemp seeds, or ground hemp. The nanocellulose may be hydrophobic or hydrophilic, and may include cellulose nanocrystals, cellulose nanofibrils, cellulose microfibrils, or a combination thereof. This invention provides construction blocks or panels; engineered parts; fire-resistant objects; coatings; containers; textile compositions; and fabric materials, for example. The composite material may also include one or more additives to modify mechanical, thermal, chemical, and/or electrical properties. The addition of nanocellulose can improve the mechanical properties of hemp-containing concrete mixtures to improve compressive strength for construction purposes.
