ADDITIVE FOR HYDRAULIC COMPOSITIONS, AND HYDRAULIC COMPOSITION USING SAME
An additive for a hydraulic composition, comprising flaky carbon and an organic compound containing a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group with a high affinity for carbon is capable of efficiently improving the strength of a hydraulic composition.
METHOD OF REDUCING STICKINESS OF CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITIONS
The present invention provides a method and admixture composition for making hydratable cementitious compositions, ones believed to have much less stickiness in comparison to prior methods. Decreased stickiness in concrete mixes means that they are easier to pour or to cast into place, as well as easier to finish. Dispersant carboxylate polymers of the invention having this ability are characterized by possessing two different, relatively short chain lengths of polyalkyleneoxide units and low weight-average molecular weights.
COMB POLYMERS AS BLOCKING ADDITIVES FOR SWELLING CLAYS
A method for inerting a swellable clay and/or for reducing or inhibiting adverse effects of swellable clays on the effectiveness of dispersants in mineral binder compositions, includes adding a comb polymer to a mineral binder composition. The comb polymer includes: at least one poly(alkylene oxide) side chain-bearing monomer unit without ionic groups, optionally at least one cationic monomer unit, optionally at least one anionic monomer unit, and optionally, at least one non-ionic monomer unit.
RHEOLOGY MODIFIER FOR INORGANIC SUSPENSIONS
The invention relates to a composition comprising () at least one water-soluble polymer based on (a) 5 to 40 wt % of at least one monomer of the formula (I) and (b) 5 to 95 wt % of at least one monomer (b) which comprises acid groups and is different from monomer (a), and () at least one associative thickener. Further disclosed is a mixture comprising an inorganic binder and also the composition of the invention. A further aspect of the present invention is the use of the composition of the invention as a rheological additive.

Further disclosed is a mixture comprising an inorganic binder and also the composition of the invention. A further aspect of the present invention is the use of the composition of the invention as a rheological additive.
Additive for suspensions
The present invention proposes a polycarboxylate ether-based additive having the general formula (I) for use as flow modifier in suspensions. The present invention further proposes a method for obtainment of such additive, wherein the method comprises the sequential steps of esterification of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with maleic anhydride (MA) and thus obtainment of a chemical product (PEGMA); and free radical polymerization in a mixture comprising acrylic acid (AA), 2-acrylamido-2 methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS) and PEGMA as reactants, further comprising water and an initiator, initial pH value of said mixture is within the range between 7.5 and 8.5, and any free oxygen is removed from the mixture throughout the free radical polymerization.
BLOCK COPOLYMERS AS DISPERSANTS FOR ALKALI-ACTIVATED BINDERS
The invention relates to a block copolymer for use as a dispersant for mineral binder compositions, containing an alkali activating agent. Said block copolymer comprises at least one first block A and at least one second block B, the first block A containing a monomeric unit M1 and the second block B containing a monomeric unit M2. A proportion of monomeric units M2, if any, in the first block A is less than 25 mol %, in particular less than or equal to 10 mol %, relative to all the monomeric units M1 in the first block A, and a proportion of monomeric units M1, if any, in the second block B is less than 25 mol %, in particular less than or equal to 10 mol %, relative to all the monomeric units M2 in the second block B.
COPOLYMERS HAVING A GRADIENT STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a copolymer, especially for use as a dispersant for solid particles, in particular for use as dispersant for mineral binder compositions, having a polymer backbone and side chains bonded thereto, comprising at least one ionizable monomer unit M1 and at least one side chain-bearing monomer unit M2, wherein the copolymer has a gradient structure in at least one section A in a direction along the polymer backbone with regard to the ionizable monomer unit M1 and/or with regard to the side chain-bearing monomer unit M2.
PRODUCTION OF DISPERSANTS BY LIVING RADICAL POLYMERIZATION
A method for producing a dispersant for solid particles, in particular a dispersant for mineral binder compositions. Ionizable monomers m1 and sidechain-carrying monomers m2 are polymerized to a copolymer, polymerization taking place as a living free radical polymerization.
Polymer having polyether side chains
The invention relates to a polymer which is obtainable by copolymerizing monomers comprising at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer which comprises at least one acid group and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (II) having polyether groups with 5 to 35 repeating units and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (III) having polyether groups with 45 to 150 repeating units, the molar ratio of monomer (II) to monomer (III) being between 75:25 and 99.5:0.5.
