CERAMIC ELECTRONIC COMPONENT COMPRISING DIELECTRIC GRAINS HAVING A CORE-DUAL SHELL STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A ceramic electronic component includes a body, including a dielectric layer and an internal electrode. The dielectric layer includes a plurality of dielectric grains, and at least one of the plurality of dielectric grains has a core-dual shell structure having a core and a dual shell. The dual shell includes a first shell, surrounding at least a portion of the core, and a second shell, surrounding at least a portion of the first shell. The dual shell includes different types of rare earth elements R1 and R2, and R2.sub.S1/R1.sub.S1 is 0.01 or less and R2.sub.S2/R1.sub.S1 is 0.5 to 3.0, where R1.sub.S1 and R1.sub.S2 denote concentrations of R1 included in the first shell and the second shell, respectively, and R2.sub.S1 and R2.sub.S2 denote concentrations of R2 included in the first shell and the second shell, respectively.

Provided is a piezoelectric ceramics including crystal grains each including: a first region that is formed of a perovskite-type metal oxide having a crystal structure in which a central element of a unit cell is located at an asymmetrical position; and a second region that is formed of a perovskite-type metal oxide having a crystal structure in which a central element of a unit cell is located at a symmetrical position, and that is present inside the first region, wherein a ratio of a cross-sectional area of the second region to a cross-sectional area of the piezoelectric ceramics is 0.1% or less.

The disclosed technology relates to a ceramic composition and an article formed therefrom. A ceramic article for radio frequency applications is formed of a ceramic composite material comprising a matrix phase comprising aluminum oxide having a corundum crystal structure and a precipitate phase comprising ZnAl.sub.2O.sub.4 and Zn.sub.2TiO.sub.4 and having a spinel crystal structure.
Resonant Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors
Provided is an improved multilayered ceramic capacitor and an electronic device comprising the multilayered ceramic capacitor. The multilayer ceramic capacitor comprises first conductive plates electrically connected to first external terminations and second conductive plates electrically connected to second external terminations. The first conductive plates and second conductive plates form a capacitive couple. A ceramic portion is between the first conductive plates and said second conductive plates wherein the ceramic portion comprises paraelectric ceramic dielectric. The multilayer ceramic capacitor has a rated DC voltage and a rated AC V.sub.PP wherein the rated AC V.sub.PP is higher than the rated DC voltage.
Resonant Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors
Provided is an improved multilayered ceramic capacitor and an electronic device comprising the multilayered ceramic capacitor. The multilayer ceramic capacitor comprises first conductive plates electrically connected to first external terminations and second conductive plates electrically connected to second external terminations. The first conductive plates and second conductive plates form a capacitive couple. A ceramic portion is between the first conductive plates and said second conductive plates wherein the ceramic portion comprises paraelectric ceramic dielectric. The multilayer ceramic capacitor has a rated DC voltage and a rated AC V.sub.PP wherein the rated AC V.sub.PP is higher than the rated DC voltage.
Radiofrequency component including a high thermal conductivity composite dielectric material
Disclosed herein are embodiments of materials having high thermal conductivity along with a high dielectric constants. In some embodiments, a two phase composite ceramic material can be formed having a contiguous aluminum oxide phase with a secondary phase embedded within the continuous phase. Example secondary phases include calcium titanate, strontium titanate, or titanium dioxide.

MULTILAYER CERAMIC CAPACITOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A multilayer ceramic capacitor that includes a laminated body of multiple dielectric layers and internal electrodes laminated alternately therewith. The dielectric layers contain Ba, Sr, Ti, Ca, Zr, Mg, and R, where R represents at least one element of Y, La, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb. When Ti is 100 parts by mol, the dielectric layers contain Sr at 0.5 to 3.0 parts by mol; Ca at 3 to 15 parts by mol; Sr at 0.05 to 3.0 parts by mol; Mg at 0.01 to 0.0 9 parts by mol; and R at 2.5 to 8.4 parts by mol.
