20170265897 · 2017-09-21 ·

A kit for removing an embedded wire from tissue includes a dissector instrument for dissecting tissue surrounding an embedded wire and a pulling instrument for pulling the embedded wire from the tissue. The dissector instrument includes a proximal portion with a first and second handle and a distal portion. The distal portion of the dissector instrument includes a tubular section for surrounding an embedded wire. The pulling instrument includes a proximal portion with a first and second handle and a distal portion. The distal portion of the pulling instrument includes an elongated clamp for coupling to the embedded wire for extraction. The dissector instrument and pulling instrument may be used together as a kit, or separately to extract embedded wire from tissue.

Tissue retraction devices and related methods of use

The present disclosure is directed to a medical instrument. The medical instrument may include a delivery device and a retraction mechanism including a target tissue anchor and a first stabilizing anchor, wherein the target tissue anchor attaches to target tissue and connects to the delivery device.

SURGICAL INSTRUMENT HAVING TERMINAL REGION THROUGH WHICH FLOW CAN OCCUR
20220151648 · 2022-05-19 ·

A branch-crossed surgical instrument includes a female branch and a male branch, each branch having a terminal portion over the longitudinal extension thereof. The terminal portion of the female branch is passed through by a passage opening, which has a distal and a proximal longitudinal end surface, each having two outer edges and adjusted to receive the terminal portion of the male branch such that the two terminal portions form a plug-through closure in an assembly position of the instrument. The passage opening has a length, wherein the outer edges of the longitudinal end surfaces are exposed in all relative positions of the two branches, in particular in a completely closed position and/or in a completely opened position of the instrument, and not covered by the male branch.

Modular Orthopedic Clamps
20220151671 · 2022-05-19 ·

An orthopedic clamp to assist in reducing the displacement between bone ends of a fracture, and to position a fixation device, during open fracture reduction surgery is described. The clamp includes a holder to hold the fixation device against the bone. The clamp may also swivel in relation to the holder while the position of the fixation device remains unchanged. The clamp may be modular so that components thereof may be released and/or attached.

Surgical instrument

A surgical instrument according to one or more embodiments may include: a base; an end effector; an elongated element to drive the end effector; a flexible shaft including a distal end coupled with the end effector; a winding member provided to the base rotatably about a rotational axis orthogonal to the second surface such that the elongated element from the flexible shaft is wound around the winding member; a drive receiving member rotatable about a rotational axis orthogonal to the second surface, to receive drive for rotating the winding member; a first guide pulley; and a second guide pulley. The first guide pulley guides the elongated element drawn from the shaft toward the second guide pulley along the rotational axis of the winding member, and the second guide pulley guides the elongated element from the first guide pulley toward the winding member in a direction intersecting the rotational axis.

Bipolar coagulating devices and vasectomy kits associated therewith
11723680 · 2023-08-15 · ·

Conventional vasectomy techniques suffer from a number of disadvantages and potential complications, including, for example, a substantial risk for the development of hematomas, swelling, and post-surgical pain, a potential for spontaneous regeneration and undesired resumption of fertility, a need for a highly skilled surgical professional, as well as a long recovery period, accompanied by severe limitations on post-surgical activity. The present invention overcomes the disadvantages and deficiencies of the prior art by providing vasectomy instruments, kits, and methods that allow for a rapid, reliable, less invasive male sterilization procedure that may be readily, reliably and successfully performed by minimally skilled personnel around the world in a variety of medical settings.

BONE CLAMP

The present disclosure is related to surgical devices, more particular it refers to a surgical clamp that attaches to a patient's bone to assist in surgical procedures. The surgical clamp is configured in such a manner that the clamping elements show a movement in a plane different from the plane of the actuator intended for opening and closing said clamping elements. As a result, the surgical clamp provides a broader working space to the surgeon when carrying out surgical work on the spine.

APPARATUS FOR REMOVING A HOOK WITH A BARB
20220117616 · 2022-04-21 ·

An apparatus for removing a hook embedded within a tissue is presented. The hook has a barb extending from a point section of the hook. The apparatus includes a clamping device configured to secure the hook. A probe is coupled to the clamping device. The probe has a tip portion configured to fit within a space between the barb and the point section of the hook to allow the hook to be removed from the tissue.

SURGICAL CLAMP

A surgical clamp including a pair of jaws, which may be used to ablate or create lesions in tissue. In an exemplary embodiment, the jaws are movable between an articulated position in which the jaws are separated and not parallel to one another, an opened position in which the jaws are separated and substantially parallel to one another, and a closed position in which the jaws are adjacent and substantially parallel to one another.
