The at least one filler comprises first particles having an average mean diameter of less than about 1.0 m and second particles having an average mean diameter of from about 1.5 m to about 5 m. Impregnated fibers comprising the preceramic resin formulation are also disclosed, as is a composite material comprising a reaction product of the polycarbosilane preceramic polymer, organically modified silicon dioxide preceramic polymer, and the at least one filler. Methods of forming a ceramic matrix composite are also disclosed.

INTERNAL COOLING CIRCUITS FOR CMC AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A method for forming a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) component with an internal cooling channel includes forming a first fiber member, forming a first depression in a surface of the first fiber member, covering the first depression with a second fiber member to form a near-net shape fiber preform of a component with an internal channel defined in part by the first depression, and densifying the fiber preform.
FACILITY FOR DEPOSITING A SHAPED FILED ROVING
An installation for depositing a shaped filled roving intended to be used to manufacture a composite-material component, includes a device for feeding a fibrous roving impregnated with a composition including a binder and ceramic or carbon fillers, a die for shaping and draining the binder defined by at least one porous surface, the die having an evolving section between an inlet section and an outlet section, the inlet section being larger than the outlet section, a support in communication with the die outlet on which the shaped roving is to be deposited, and a first conveying device configured to convey the roving from the feed device through the die and to the support.
INTERNAL COOLING CIRCUITS FOR CMC AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A method for forming a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) component with an internal cooling channel includes partially densifying a first fiber preform to form a portion of a final ceramic matrix volume, machining a first channel into a surface of the partially densified first fiber preform, covering the first channel with a fibrous member to form a near net shape fiber preform with an internal passage formed by the first channel and the fibrous member, and densifying the near net shape fiber preform.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING OF CERAMIC FIBER COMPOSITE STRUCTURES
There is disclosed herein processes and systems for forming fiber-reinforced ceramic composite structures which, contrary to conventional methods, directly deposit a ceramic fiber composite on a working surface. The processes and systems enable the printing of ceramic fiber composite structures having complex shapes and allow for multiple fiber-matrix material combinationsso far not possible with conventional approaches. In addition, the systems and process described herein enable the printing of ceramic fiber composites on complex 3D surfaces, such as gas turbine components.
PRE-IMPREGNATED FIBRE-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND FIBRE-REINFORCED COMPOSITE CERAMIC MATERIAL, OBTAINED BY FORMING AND SUBSEQUENT PYROLYSIS OF SAID PREIMPREGNATED MATERIAL
The invention relates to a pre-impregnated fibre-reinforced composite material in laminar form, obtained impregnating a fibrous mass with a polymeric binder composition and intended to be subjected to successive forming and pyrolysis operations to produce a fibre-reinforced composite ceramic material. The polymeric binder composition is based on one or more resins chosen from the group consisting of siloxane resins and silsesquioxane resins, and can optionally comprise one or more organic resins. The polymeric binder composition is a liquid with viscosity between 55000 and 10000 mPas at temperatures between 50 C. and 70 C. The polymeric binder composition forms a polymeric binding matrix, not cross-linked or only partially cross-linked that fills the interstices of the fibrous mass. The invention also relates to a method for making said pre-impregnated fibre-reinforced composite material in laminar form. The invention further relates to a fibre-reinforced composite ceramic material, obtained by forming and subsequent pyrolysis of a pre-impregnated fibre-reinforced composite material, as well as a method for making said material.
PREFORM FOR MAKING A COMPONENT OF A BRAKING SYSTEM
A preform for making a component of a braking system having a fibre-reinforced ceramic composite material, obtained by forming and subsequent pyrolysis of a pre-preg is described. Also described is a component of a braking system made wholly or in part from the preform, and a method for making a preform in a fibre-reinforced ceramic composite material.
LOBED TUBULAR PIECE MADE OF A COMPOSITE WITH UNIDIRECTIONAL FIBERS
A method for manufacturing a fibrous tubular structure including lobes, in which fibers are draped/deposited on a mandrel having a shape corresponding to that of the fibrous structure, includes draping/deposition carried out such that at least one group of fibers has a same orientation with respect to the axis (A) of said fibrous structure, then, the fibers having been draped over an angular sector less than the total periphery of the mandrel, one of the ends of the fibrous structure is separated from the mandrel in order to allow the continuation of the draping on the same mandrel.
