Enhanced safety attachment for cutting machine
The safety attachment provides preferably 4 video cameras mounted around a bandsaw blade and looking parallel to the blade direction. Each camera CCD sensor is partly scanned in mode 1. In mode 1 an axis corner of each scanned area is aligned with the camera axis, produced to the table, defining a corner of a parallel-sided protected volume including the entire exposed blade. The blade is rapidly braked when the attachment detects a glove intrusion. In the alternative fully scanned mode 2 the protected area extends outside the mode 1 area and a warning only is emitted on intrusion.
SPLIT BLADE HOUSING WITH EXPANSION SLEEVE ASSEMBLY FOR POWER OPERATED ROTARY KNIFE
A blade housing assembly for a power operated rotary knife including a split blade housing and an expansion sleeve assembly. The split blade housing including an annular blade support section and a mounting section extending from the blade support section. The mounting section includes a split extending through the mounting section and includes a first body portion and a second body portion on opposite sides of the split, the first body portion including a slot extending axially through the first body portion and movable between blade supporting and blade changing positions. The expansion sleeve assembly extends through the slot and includes a split sleeve changeable between first and second circumferences. The expansion sleeve assembly further including a fastener extends through the split sleeve and, when engaged with the split sleeve, maintains the split sleeve in the first circumference and secures the first body portion in the blade supporting position.
TURNING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING FOOD ITEMS
A turning apparatus has a turning device for engaging and turning a food item conveyed by a conveying means. The turning device includes a sweep arm structure for engaging the food item, a moving mechanism for turning the sweep arm structure from a first angular position to a second angular position, and a height displacement mechanism for raising and lowering the turning device.
Transformable food conversion device
An interdependent pair of kitchen tools designed for cutting, shearing, gouge cutting, or shredding specific meat and fibrous vegetables such as squash and slow cooked meats, along with leafy greens, deli meats, and hardboiled eggs. The tools exist as two forklike subassemblies, each comprised of respective distal handles, distal tine arrays, and pivotally enabled geometries. The subassemblies exist in two functional states allowing for two food conversion user modalities. The first functional state exists as a disconnected state amongst the subassemblies wherein the first user modality features opposing linear forces levied from respective subassemblies onto foods residing on a horizontal surface. The second functional state exists as a pivotally interconnected state amongst the subassemblies, whereby the second user modality features opposing pivotal mechanical forces levied from interconnected subassemblies onto foods residing on a horizontal surface or alternately contained within a custom food containment assembly existing as part of this disclosure.
Method and process for making natural cut pork chops
The present invention is a method for cutting pork to create a meat cut that mimics a pork chop meat. The method involves removing the bone and meat from the pork leg. The method then includes sealing the pork chop within a hermetic enclosure and chilling the enclosed pork chop to a temperature in the range of 35 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. The resulting meat cut includes, bones or no bones pork chops.
Meat processing system
A meat processing system comprising a blade, a blade movement assembly, a controller and a conveyor. The blade is configured to cut a carcass into pieces and lies substantially in a blade plane. The conveyor is configured to move the carcass along a first axis. The controller is configured to control the blade movement assembly to rotate the blade or a portion of the blade to vary an angle between the blade plane and the first axis. The blade movement assembly may also be configured to translate the blade to move the blade transverse to the first axis. A method of operating a meat processing system is also disclosed. The method includes conveying a carcass or section of carcass along a first axis, controlling a blade movement assembly to rotate a blade or a portion of a blade to vary the angle between a blade plane and the first axis, and cutting the carcass or section of carcass into pieces.
PORTIONER MIST MANAGEMENT ASSEMBLY
Mist management systems are configured for a processing machine having a portioning station configured to portion a workpiece within an enclosed portioner housing having a first side wall extending along the portioning station, a second side wall, at least one hood portion between the first and second side walls, and at least one end wall between the first and second side walls, using at least one liquid jet cutter and a conveyor configured to move the workpiece in a longitudinal direction beneath the at least one liquid jet cutter. The systems may include a tray secured within the enclosed portioner housing beneath the at least one liquid jet cutter and the conveyor, the tray being downwardly angled and configured to direct a waterjet of the liquid jet cutter toward a low pressure plenum chamber positioned external to the first side wall of the enclosed portioner housing.
Cutting apparatus
A cutting apparatus for cutting off or slicing meat products, in particular bacon or fresh meat products, comprises a product feed that is configured to guide at least one first product and at least one second product simultaneously into a cutting region, which includes a first rotating blade and a second rotating blade for cutting off or slicing the products into smaller pieces. In this respect, the product feed has a first conveying means for guiding the at least one first product into the cutting region and a second conveying means for guiding the at least one second product into the cutting region, wherein the first blade is associated with the first conveying means and is provided for cutting off or slicing the at least one first product, and wherein the second blade is associated with the second conveying means and is provided for cutting off or slicing the at least one second product.
Elastic support device
An elastic support device according to an embodiment includes: a first member including a first magnet; and a second member including a second magnet, disposed so as to face the first member, and movable relative to the first member in response to receipt of an external force. A magnetic force acting between the first magnet and the second magnet holds the second member in an original position when the second member does not receive an external force, and the magnetic force returns the second member to the original position when the second member is moved due to receipt of an external force.
Cutting apparatus with element for receiving and abutting cutting blade
A cutting apparatus for cutting a food object includes at least one cutting blade, an actuator arranged for moving the cutting blade before and during cutting, and an element comprising a receiving section arranged for receiving and abutting the cutting blade, and a supporting section arranged for supporting a food object before and during cutting. During cutting, the supporting section is arranged for being displaced, such as displaced by elastic deformation, by the cutting blade with respect to a position of the supporting section prior to cutting. During moving of the cutting blade, the cutting blade is arranged for displacing the supporting section subsequent to the cutting blade abutting the receiving section. The cutting blade and the element are arranged for being continuously in contact with each other.
