DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CATHETER-BASED CARDIAC PROCEDURES
Systems, devices, and methods for performing catheter-based procedures in the heart. In specific embodiments a procedural catheter is introduced into the mediastinum from a suprasternal access site. The procedural catheter is passed through a wall of the heart, preferably at an extrapericardial location on the atrial dome. The procedural catheter is used to perform a procedure in the heart such as mitral valve repair or replacement, using remote catheter visualization techniques.

A system for creating an endoluminal valve from a blood vessel wall, includes: a tubular assembly having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end, a distal portion with a distal end, and a first lumen extending from the proximal end to a distal port located proximate the distal portion, the distal port located along the longitudinal axis, the distal portion having a supporting surface on a same side of the tubular assembly as the distal port, the supporting surface extending in a longitudinal direction and offset from a surface of the tubular assembly proximal the distal port and configured to contact the blood vessel wall; and a tissue dissection probe disposed within the first lumen, the tissue dissection probe having a fluid delivery lumen extending to a fluid delivery port located at a distal end of the tissue dissection probe, the tissue dissection probe configured to be inserted into the blood vessel wall.
Minimally Invasive Nasal Implants and Systems and Methods
Nasal implants and nasal implant delivery tools are described herein. The nasal implants and tools can be used to deliver the implant in a minimally invasive way. The delivery tools can be adapted to separate the upper lateral cartilage from the septum and to place an implant between the septum and the upper lateral cartilage. The implant can be configured to be placed between the upper lateral cartilage and the septum. The implant system can include a first longitudinal body adapted to engage with upper lateral cartilage and the septum on a first side of the septum and a second longitudinal body adapted to engage with upper lateral cartilage and the septum on a second side of the septum.
Systems and methods for percutaneous division of fibrous structures
A device for dividing a fibrous structure comprising a catheter; an expandable member positioned near a distal end of the catheter and in fluid communication with a lumen of the catheter; and a cutting element situated on an outer surface of the expandable member. A method for dividing a fibrous structure comprising positioning, proximate the fibrous structure, an expandable member having a cutting element situated thereon; expanding the expandable member outwards to tension the fibrous structure across the cutting element; and activating the cutting element to weaken or cut the fibrous structure. A method for treating carpal tunnel syndrome comprising inserting a needle into the carpal tunnel; directing a guidewire to a position proximate the transverse carpal ligament; advancing, along the guidewire, a device having an expandable member and a cutting element; positioning the cutting element; tensioning the ligament across the cutting element; and weakening or cutting the ligament.
Pressure-sensing implant tools
In some examples, a system includes a medical device comprising an elongate body configured to advance through layers of tissue of a patient, a lumen extending through the elongate body, a fluid line configured to supply fluid to the lumen, and a pressure sensor positioned within the lumen or the fluid line. The system may further include processing circuitry configured to receive, from the pressure sensor, a signal corresponding to the pressure of the fluid at each of a plurality of time points, determine, for each time point: a corresponding amplitude value of the signal, a difference between two amplitude values of the signal, an amplitude oscillation status of the signal, a position of the elongate body based on the difference and the amplitude oscillation status; and provide an indication of the position of the elongate body relative to the layers of tissue.

The recess may be configured to receive an implantable device and the tunneler preferably extends distally from the recess at a position laterally displaced from the device when the device is so located in the recess. Movement of the plunger distally within the recess advances the device distally out of the recess and alongside of and exterior to the tunneler.
