COLOURED FIBER CEMENT PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to coloured fiber cement products as well as to methods for manufacturing such products. In particular, the present invention provides coloured fiber cement products, which fiber cement products are coloured in the mass, and at least comprise on at least part of their outer surface one or more cured layers of a coating composition, which composition at least comprises a binder and a pigment and/or a filler and is characterized by a pigment volume concentration (PVC) of between about 1% and about 20%. The present invention further provides processes for producing these coloured fiber cement products. Finally, the present invention provides uses of the coloured fiber cement products as building materials. In particular embodiments, the fiber cement products produced by the processes of the present invention can be used to provide an outer surface to walls, both internal as well as external, a building or construction, e.g. as fagade plate, siding, etc.

SELF-ETCHING CEMENTITIOUS SUBSTRATE COATING COMPOSITION
Described is a method for producing a coating with an aqueous coating composition AC, the method including: a) applying the aqueous coating composition AC to a cementitious substrate; and b) curing the applied aqueous coating composition AC. The aqueous coating composition AC includes at least one amino-functional copolymer VC and at least one epoxy silane ES and the coating composition has a pH in a range of 3 to 6.5. The weight ratio between amino-functional copolymer VC and epoxy silane ES (VC/ES) is in a range from 1.0 to 9.5. The composition can display self-etching properties on concrete surfaces, and thus, cementitious substrates do not have to be mechanically or chemically pretreated before the composition is applied.
ENZYMATIC CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL FOR REPAIR AND CORROSION RESISTANCE AND DURABILITY
Methods for repair of cracks and niches in concrete using carbonic anhydrase embedded in a gelatin, hydrogel, or other aqueous matrix are provided. A durable corrosion resistant concrete mix containing carbonic anhydrase is provided, as are methods of making and using the durable corrosion resistant concrete. Corrosion resistance and durability derive from decreased porosity compared to concrete without the enzyme, conferring decreased access of deleterious materials such as chloride ions to interior portions of the concrete.
ENZYMATIC CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL FOR REPAIR AND CORROSION RESISTANCE AND DURABILITY
Methods for repair of cracks and niches in concrete using carbonic anhydrase embedded in a gelatin, hydrogel, or other aqueous matrix are provided. A durable corrosion resistant concrete mix containing carbonic anhydrase is provided, as are methods of making and using the durable corrosion resistant concrete. Corrosion resistance and durability derive from decreased porosity compared to concrete without the enzyme, conferring decreased access of deleterious materials such as chloride ions to interior portions of the concrete.
Silicate-emulsion primer and paint
An emulsion composition includes an acrylic polymer, a metal silicate, and water. Advantageously, the emulsion composition provides coatings with superior adhesion of coatings to a concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate. In particular, the emulsion composition provides improved adhesion of the silicate primer to the concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate and strong cohesion between the primer and top coat paint allow for a much better overall performance. A method for applying the emulsion composition is also provided.

A one-component type polyurethane resin composition for preventing detachment of concrete pieces and tiles containing an isocyanate group-containing urethane prepolymer (A) and a thixotropy-imparting agent (B), and a method for forming a reinforcing layer on a surface of a concrete structure or tiled wall containing a resin coated film composed thereof, in order to provide a one-component type polyurethane resin composition for preventing detachment of concrete pieces and tiles, which has improved workability by being able to be applied with a trowel or brush, forms a transparent resin coated film after reactive curing that has improved weather resistance without applying a top coat, facilitates diagnosis of deterioration of concrete by being carried out visually during maintenance of concrete structures, is able to maintain the existing appearance of the tiled exteriors of buildings and other structures and eliminates dispersion to surrounding areas during application.
