PHOSPHOLIPID DEDUSTING AGENTS FOR JOINT COMPOUNDS
A drying-type joint compound, a setting-type joint compound, and/or a ready-mixed, setting-type joint compound can include a phospholipid dedusting agent. For example, a drying-type joint compound can include: (a) a primary filler at 50 weight percent (wt %) to 98 wt % on a dry basis, wherein the primary filler includes one of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate dihydrate, and talc, and a mixture thereof (b) a secondary filler at up to 25 wt % on a dry basis; (c) a binder at 1 wt % to 15 wt % on a dry basis; (d) a polymer thickener at 0.05 wt % to 3 wt % on a dry basis; (e) a phospholipid dedusting agent at 0.01 wt % to 3 wt % on a dry basis; (0 an additive up to 10 wt % o on a dry basis; and (g) water at a weight ratio of water to dry components of 1:6 to 2:1.
Enhanced adhesive drywall finish and joint compound and method of use
The present invention relates to an improved drywall finish and joint compound comprised of a mixture of fractured aluminum oxide, glass bead, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, magnesium aluminum phyllosilicate, aluminum silicate hydroxide, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, metamorphic mineral, sodium bicarbonate, silicon and aluminides, talc, kaolin, and metal oxide. The improved drywall finish and joint compound is capable of adhering to drywall, wood, concrete, brick, stone, steel and other surfaces, and can be applied using a conventional trowel or similar device, cures quickly, and eliminates the need for taping and bedding. The compound saves extensive time and labor when installing, repairing or working with drywall.
VESICLE DEDUSTING AGENTS FOR JOINT COMPOUNDS
A drying-type joint compound can comprise: (a) a primary filler at about 50 weight percent (wt %) to about 98 wt % on a dry basis, wherein the primary filler includes one member selected from the group of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate dihydrate, and talc, and a mixture thereof; (b) a secondary filler at up to about 25 wt % on a dry basis; (c) a binder at about 1 wt % to about 15 wt % on a dry basis; (d) a polymer thickener at about 0.05 wt % to about 3 wt % on a dry basis; (e) a vesicle dedusting agent at about 0.01 wt % to about 10 wt % on a dry basis, wherein the vesicle dedusting agent comprises vesicles; and (f) an additive up to about 10 wt % o on a dry basis; and (g) water at a ratio of water to dry components of about 1:6 to about 3:1.
Two-component water-based cementitious adhesive with reduced viscosity
A composition including: a first component A, includes: between 68 and 99.9 wt.-% of an aqueous dispersion of at least one polymer, the aqueous dispersion including the polymer with an amount of between 20 and 90 wt.-%; between 0 and 2 wt.-% of a nonionic or ionic dispersing agent; a second component B, includes: between 10 and 30 wt.-% of a nonionic, non-aqueous liquid carrier, between 0 and 20 wt.-% of calcium sulfate, between 10 and 89.9 wt.-% of at least one hydraulic binder, between 0 and 10 wt.-% of a thixotropy agent; wherein both components A and B are prepared and stored separately and mixed directly before application; and with the proviso that the first component A furthermore includes: between 0.1 and 15 wt.-% of a monovalent metal salt, and the second component B furthermore comprises: between 0.1 and 25 wt.-% of a polyamine.
A Filler Compound and Use of a Filler Compound
According to the present invention, there is provided a filler compound, the filler compound comprising filler particles and a binder, wherein the filler particles comprise particles of at least one glassy material, and the particles of glassy material are at least 10 wt. % of the dry mass of the filler compound, and wherein at least 30 wt. % of the filler particles have a diameter between 50 and 100 microns inclusive. Use of a filler compound in the erection of a structure is also described.

Quick-drying building material composition based on a mineral hybrid binder
A quick-drying gypsum composition, in particular for use as gypsum filling compound and for the production of floor coverings, wherein the gypsum composition contains 20 to 70% of a mixture of calcium aluminate and calcium sulfate hemihydrate and/or anhydrite and/or calcium sulfate dihydrate as hydraulic binders and 30 to 80% by weight of fillers, and wherein the weight ratio of calcium aluminate to calcium sulfate hemihydrate and/or anhydrite and/or calcium sulfate dihydrate binders lies in the range from 1:1 to 1:5. Gypsum compositions of this type are characterized by a particularly beneficial shrinkage behavior, such that stresses and cracks in the dried composition can be avoided. At the same time, the gypsum compositions dry to readiness for covering in a time that is compatible with conventional cement filling compounds.
Lightweight joint compound composition
In the present disclosure, a joint compound composition is disclosed. The joint compound composition comprises water, a cementitious filler, a mineral filler, and an elastomer wherein the joint compound composition exhibits a viscosity of 50 poise or less when measured at a temperature of 23? C. and shear rate of 100 s.sup.?1 and/or a yield stress of 1,500 dynes/cm.sup.2 or less. The present disclosure is also directed to a method of making a joint compound composition. The method comprises combining and mixing water, a cementitious filler, a mineral filler, and an aqueous dispersion including an elastomer.
