Mold for glass forming and methods for forming glass using a mold
The present disclosure relates to a mold for glass forming, wherein the mold comprises a ceramic material, and wherein the ceramic material comprises aluminum nitride and hexagonal boron nitride, and wherein the ceramic material comprises from 50 to 80% by weight of aluminum nitride and from 20 to 50% by weight of hexagonal boron nitride, based on the total weight of the ceramic material. The present disclosure further relates to a process for using such molds to form curved glass plates.
Bonded abrasive articles
An abrasive article includes a body having a bond material extending throughout the body and abrasive particles contained in the bond material. The bond material can include aluminum oxide (Al.sub.2O.sub.3) and lithium oxide (Li.sub.2O). In an embodiment, the bond material can include a ratio (Al.sub.2O.sub.3/Li.sub.2O) of a content of aluminum oxide (Al.sub.2O.sub.3) relative to a content of lithium oxide (Li.sub.2O), based on weight percent, of greater than 11.5 and at most 20. In another embodiment, the abrasive article can have a versatility factor of greater than 1.90.
High alumina fused cast refractory and method of producing same
The present invention provides a high alumina fused cast refractory that is easily produced and has low porosity and high corrosion resistance, and a method of producing the same. The high alumina fused cast refractory of the present invention has the following chemical composition: 95.0 mass % to 99.5 mass % Al.sub.2O.sub.3, 0.20 mass % to 1.50 mass % SiO.sub.2, 0.05 mass % to 1.50 mass % B.sub.2O.sub.3, 0.05 mass % to 1.20 mass % MgO and balance. The method of producing the high alumina fused cast refractory of the present invention includes obtaining a mixture by mixing an Al.sub.2O.sub.3 source material, a SiO.sub.2 source material, a B.sub.2O.sub.3 source material and an MgO source material, and fusing the mixture.
Ferrite sintered magnet and rotary electrical machine comprising the same
A ferrite sintered magnet 100 comprises M-type ferrite crystal grains 4 having a hexagonal structure, two-crystal grain boundaries 6a formed between two of the M-type ferrite crystal grains 4, and multiple-crystal grain boundaries 6b surrounded by three or more of the M-type ferrite crystal grains 4. This ferrite sintered magnet 100 contains at least Fe, Ca, B, and Si, and contains B in an amount of 0.005 to 0.9 mass % in terms of B.sub.2O.sub.3, the two-crystal grain boundaries 6a and the multiple-crystal grain boundaries 6b contain Si and Ca, and in a cross-section parallel to a c-axis of the ferrite sintered magnet, when the number of multiple-crystal grain boundaries 6b having a maximum length of 0.49 to 5 μm per cross-sectional area of 76 μm.sup.2 is N, N is 7 or less.
MULTILAYER COIL COMPONENT
A multilayer coil component includes a multilayer body in which a plurality of insulating layers are stacked in a stacking direction and a coil inside, and outer electrodes on surfaces of the multilayer body and electrically connected to the coil. The insulating layers have a magnetic phase having spinel structure containing at least Fe, Ni, Zn, and Cu and a non-magnetic phase containing at least Si. When grain sizes D50 and D90 of crystal grains constituting the magnetic phase are respectively defined as equivalent-area circle diameters of 50% and 90% on a cumulative sum basis in a cumulative distribution of equivalent-area circle diameters of the crystal grains, the grain size D50 is from 50 nm to 750 nm, and the grain size D90 is from 200 nm to 1500 nm.
CaO-ZrO2 Composition, Method for Producing CaO-ZrO2 Composition, and CaO-ZrO2-Containing Refractory Material and Casting Nozzle
Provided is a ZrO.sub.2—CaO—C based refractory material which is capable of maintaining high adhesion resistance over a long period of time, while exhibiting significant slaking resistance, and suppressing self-fluxing, i.e., exhibiting corrosion-erosion resistance. The refractory material comprises a CaO—ZrO.sub.2 composition containing a CaO component in an amount of 40% by mass to 60% by mass, wherein a mass ratio of the CaO component to a ZrO.sub.2 component is 0.67 to 1.5, and wherein the CaO—ZrO.sub.2 composition includes a eutectic microstructure of CaO crystals and CaZrO.sub.3 crystals, wherein a width of each of the CaO crystals observable in a cross-sectional microstructure is 50 μm or less.
Ferrite sintered magnet and rotary electrical machine comprising the same
A ferrite sintered magnet 100 comprises M-type ferrite crystal grains 4 having a hexagonal crystal structure, two-crystal grain boundaries 6a formed between two of the M-type ferrite crystal grains 4, and multiple-crystal grain boundaries 6b surrounded by three or more of the M-type ferrite crystal grains 4. This ferrite sintered magnet 100 contains at least Fe, Ca, B, and Si, and contains B in an amount of 0.005 to 0.9 mass % in terms of B.sub.2O.sub.3, the two-crystal grain boundaries 6a and the multiple-crystal grain boundaries 6b contain Si and Ca, and in a cross-section parallel to a c-axis of the ferrite sintered magnet, when the number of multiple-crystal grain boundaries having a maximum length of 0.088 or more and less than 0.49 μm per cross-sectional area of 76 μm.sup.2 is P, P is 8 or more.

The present disclosure relates to a ceramic component including a boron carbide, wherein a difference of a first residual stress measured at a first spot on a surface of the ceramic component and a second residual stress measured at a second spot on the surface having different distance from a center of the surface than the first spot is −600 to +600 MPa.
