BUTADIENE TELOMERIZATION CATALYST PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
Catalyst compositions are prepared by contacting a palladium source and 1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-6-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2,4,8-trioxa-6-phosphaadamantane and a methoxyocta-diene compound, in a primary aliphatic alcohol, under suitable conditions including a ratio of equivalents of palladium to equivalents of 1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-6-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2,4,8-trioxa-6-phosphaadamantane ranging from greater than 1:1 to 1:1.3. The result is a complex of palladium, a 1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-6-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2,4,8-trioxa-6-phosphaada-mantane ligand, and a ligand selected from a methoxyoctadiene ligand, an octadienyl ligand, or a protonated octadienyl. Such complexes may, in solution, exhibit surprising solubility and storage stability and are useful in the telomerization of butadiene, which is a step in the production of 1-octene.

The method is inexpensive, efficient, and environmentally sound. Additionally, the method is selective for C.sub.4 olefins and other value-added products based on changes to reaction parameters including temperature, feed gas composition, and promoter identity. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
CATALYTIC PROCESS FOR DIENE DIMERIZATION
The disclosure relates to a process for the dimerization of conjugated diene compounds by a heterogeneous catalytic process using a supported palladium catalyst in the presence of at least one palladium activator and at least one palladium coordinating agent.
Catalytic process for diene dimerization
The disclosure relates to a selective head-to-head dimerization of conjugated diene compounds by a catalytic process in a reaction medium without solvent or with solvent comprising hydrocarbons, in the presence of a specific additive of the phenol type.
PREPARATION METHOD FOR CONJUGATED DIENE COMPOUND
The current invention belongs to the technical fields of fine chemicals and related chemistry, and provides a preparation method for butadiene derivatives. Arylacetylenes and derivatives using as raw materials react in an anhydrous organic solvent in the presence of a metal catalyst and an additive, and are converted into 2,3-disubstituted-1,3-butadiene derivatives. The current invention has some beneficial characteristics such as cheap and readily available raw material, mild reaction conditions, environmentally friendly property and possibility of realizing industrialization, and obtains the 1,3-butadiene derivatives in high yields. The 1,3-butadiene derivatives synthesized by this method can be further functionalized into various compounds which have potential applications in development and research of natural products, functional materials and fine chemicals.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALPHA-OLEFIN
A method for producing an ?-olefin may include (1) continuously introducing an ethylene and a catalyst into a reactor, followed by performing a polymerization reaction to obtain a reaction mixture; and (2) continuously introducing the reaction mixture and a base into a line mixer, followed by performing mixing. The line mixer may have a stirring power in a range of from 30 to 1000 kW.Math.sec/m.sup.3 and a number of passes may be in a range of from 5 to 50.
Process and system for making cyclopentadiene and/or dicyclopentadiene
Processes and systems for making cyclopentadiene and/or dicyclopentadiene include converting acyclic C5 hydrocarbon(s) into CPD in a first reactor to obtain a product mixture, separating the product mixture in a separation sub-system such as compression train to obtain a C5-rich fraction comprising CPD and essentially depleted of hydrogen and C1-C4 hydrocarbons, dimerizing the C5-rich fraction in a dimerization reactor to obtain a product effluent comprising DCPD, followed by separating the product effluent to obtain a DCPD-rich fraction. Multiple-stage of dimerization and separation steps can be optionally used to obtain multiple DCPD-rich fractions of various degrees of purity and quantity. C5-rich fractions from various stages of the process may be recycled to the first reactor, or converted into mogas components after selective hydrogenation. C5-rich fractions and mogas components may be optionally separated to produce value-adding chemicals.
