Colpotomy systems, devices, and methods with rotational cutting
A colpotomy system includes a colpotomy cup that extends to a distal surface and defines a longitudinal axis. The colpotomy system further includes a cutter operably coupled to the colpotomy cup and configured to travel along an arcuate path defined about the distal surface of the colpotomy cup. The cutter actuatable to separate a uterus from a vagina as the cutter rotates about the longitudinal axis of the colpotomy cup.
Organ retention device and system, and use of same for laparoscopic surgery
An organ retention device and system, and use of the same for laparoscopic surgery is provided. The organ retention device includes a biologically compatible flexible barrier configured to restrain one or more organs. First and second anchor strings extend from first and second connection regions of the flexible barrier respectively and have a first and a second loop distal from the flexible barrier. At least one expansion element is configured to expand the flexible barrier generally perpendicularly to an axis between the first connection region and the second connection region when the first loop and the second loop are held apart in tension. A retraction device is also provided having a sharp distal end configured to enter an abdominal cavity by puncturing the abdominal wall, and a hook proximate to the sharp distal end configured to catch and retract one of the loops.
Uterine manipulators
A uterine manipulator includes a handle assembly and a shaft extending distally from the handle assembly. An end effector assembly is disposed at a distal end portion of the shaft and includes a cervical cup and a distal tip extending distally from the cervical cup. A specimen containment system is supported on the shaft between the handle assembly and the end effector assembly. The specimen containment system includes a sleeve having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, and a specimen containment bag having a first end portion and a second end portion. The specimen containment bag is supported within the sleeve and is movable from an initial position, wherein the specimen containment bag is disposed within the sleeve, to a deployed position, wherein the specimen containment bag is deployed from the sleeve.
UTERUS MANIPULATION DEVICE
The present invention relates to uterus manipulator placed in the beginning of the sure for the purpose of facilitating cutting of uterus and its related bonds without causing any damage to other tissues in the hysterectomy procedure that is implemented laparoscopically and laparoscopically stitching of the opening occurred afterwards. The invention, particularly, relates to uterus manipulation device facilitating manipulation of the uterus, cutting every sort of tissue connected to the uterus, cutting cervicovaginal tissue in a circular line by way of using electrical energy by the device and stitching intracorporeally the opening, that will occur, by means of the device.
UTERINE MANIPULATION DEVICE
A uterine manipulator device useful for laparoscopic hysterectomy procedures or other minimally-invasive gynecologic procedures.
COLPOTOMY SYSTEM WITH APPLIED ENERGY
A colpotomy system includes a surgical instrument and a uterine manipulator. The surgical instrument has a shaft assembly. The shaft assembly includes an end effector supported on a distal end portion of the shaft assembly. The end effector includes a first jaw member and a second jaw member. The uterine manipulator extends distally to a head supporting a knife that is positioned to cooperate with the first and second jaw members of the end effector.
TRANSVAGINAL OCCLUDER
A transvaginal occluder includes an elongated housing having proximal and distal portions and an internal cavity defined therebetween configured for selective receipt of a surgical instrument therethrough. The elongated housing includes a first material having a first durometer extending between the proximal and distal portions and defining the internal cavity, the first material including one or more recesses defined therein along the internal cavity. The elongated housing also includes a second material having a second, lower durometer and that extends between the proximal and distal portions, the second material encapsulating a portion of the first material and configured to engage vaginal tissue. The elongated housing also includes a third material having a third, lowest durometer disposed within the one or more recesses that is configured to engage a shaft of the surgical instrument in a fluid tight manner.
MEDICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM
Robotic surgical systems configured to control the movement and actuation of a single robotic arm, and the movement and actuation of multiple tools carried at a distal end of the robotic arm.
Uterine Manipulator
A uterine manipulator device includes: an elongated cannulated tube comprising a proximal end and a distal end; a cervical cup having a top proximal portion of a first diameter and a base distal portion of a second smaller diameter, wherein: the base distal portion includes a hole formed therein having a perimeter including a distal end and a proximal end, and including a longitudinal axis positioned therethrough; one of the proximal end of the perimeter and the distal end of the perimeter is angled away from the longitudinal axis and the other of the proximal end of the perimeter and the distal end of the perimeter is in line with the longitudinal axis; and the elongated cannulated tube is positioned through the hole in the cervical cup.
INTRAUTERINE ACCESS CATHETER FOR DELIVERING AND FACILITATING OPERATION OF A MEDICAL APPARATUS FOR ASSISTING PARTURITION
A system for augmenting uterine forces includes a medical apparatus having a balloon body that transitions between a compacted state and an expanded state, a catheter that receives the medical apparatus and obtains electrical signals indicative of intrinsic uterine contractions, and a controller coupled to the catheter to receive the electrical signals, and to a source of an agent. The controller processes the electrical signals to detect an onset of an intrinsic uterine contraction, an increase in uterine contraction forces, or a decrease in uterine contraction forces. In response to a detection of an onset of an intrinsic uterine contraction or an increase in uterine contraction forces, the controller causes an agent to be delivered from the agent source to the balloon body to expand the balloon body. In response to a detection of a decrease in uterine contraction forces, the controller causes agent to discharge from the balloon body to collapse the balloon body.
