The invention relates to an abdominal retractor system using human body parts as support points by means of extension levers, and maintains approach to the surgical region by pressing abdominal wall downwards.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ORGAN MANIPULATION USING A SURGICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM
20230080767 · 2023-03-16 ·

In a robotic surgical system, an organ manipulation device such as a uterine manipulator with a colpotomy cup is positionable on a first robotic manipulator while a surgical instrument is positionable on a second robotic manipulator. During the course of surgery, a user inputs instructions to the robotic surgical system to cause movement of the organ manipulator and surgical instrument.

Marchand advanced single port hysterectomy—a laparoscopic surgical technique

This disclosure is relative to the field of laparoscopic surgery and gynecologic surgery. Specifically disclosed is a surgical technique for laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy-oophorectomy which encompasses dissection and removal of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. The technique utilizes a single-entry port located at the umbilicus in conjunction with access through the vaginal opening to access and manipulate the organs within the abdominal cavity.

Apparatus for treating a portion of a reproductive system and related methods of use

This invention relates generally to a medical device, and more specifically, to a vaginal surgical apparatus. In one embodiment, a vaginal device includes, but is not limited to, a shaft, the shaft including at least a space to at least partially accommodate a cervix; and a slot to secure a tenaculum; and a stopper that is positionably adjustable along at least a portion of a length of the shaft.

COLPOTOMY CUP ASSEMBLY

A medical device for performing a hysterectomy is provided. The medical device has a tissue incision assembly that includes a first cup nested within a second cup. The tissue incision assembly also includes a spacer assembly between the first cup and the second cup in order to maintain a spacing between the first and second cups. The tissue incision assembly also has a cutting implement that has a portion extending between, and movable with respect to, the first and second cups. The cutting implement can provide a circular cut guided via the spacing between the first and second cups.

MAGNARETRACTOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230106676 · 2023-04-06 ·

A system and method for performing surgical procedures within a body cavity, e.g. abdomen, uses a magnetized device is utilized to allow a surgeon to control intra-abdominal organs and objects. The system and method allows a surgeon to perform an intra-abdominal procedure without the need to position surgical tools inside of the body cavity. Additional surgical ports are not necessary as the magnetized device allows the surgeon to retract or position various objects within the abdomen.

SURGICAL DEVICE FOR PERFORMING COLPOTOMY ON PATIENT

A colpotomy device includes a shaft assembly having a hollow outer shaft and an inner shaft disposed within, and rotatable and translatable relative to, the outer shaft, a handle assembly operably coupled to a proximal end of the shaft assembly, and configured to selectively rotate the inner shaft relative to the outer shaft, a colpotomy cup assembly including an outer cup and an inner cup disposed within the outer cup, wherein the inner cup is fixedly coupled to a distal end of the inner shaft, and the outer cup is fixedly coupled to a distal end of the outer shaft, and a cutting element coupled to the inner cup, such that the inner shaft the shaft assembly, inner cup, and cutting element rotate together relative to the outer shaft.

Birth ease method and device
09848911 · 2017-12-26 ·

A method for easing child birth and, more particularly, to a device for practicing the method for easing child birth and, most particularly, to a device for easing child birth controlled by the individual giving birth to the child. The device mechanically replaces a “manual” contact, which can be applied to the pelvis of a woman in labor, for the purpose of aiding the expulsion of the baby, and reduce the pain and discomfort associated with this process. The device mechanically compresses the ilium portion of the pelvis medially and posteriorly, simultaneously. The pressure applied by the device is under full control of the patient, so that pressure is applied slowly and progressively to a point of maximum comfort. The pressure is decreased immediately upon demand by the patient. The duration of the application of compression corresponds with the length of the contraction period for the woman.

Uterine Manipulator

A uterine manipulator device includes: an elongated cannulated tube comprising a proximal end and a distal end; a cervical cup having a top proximal portion of a first diameter and a base distal portion of a second smaller diameter, wherein: the base distal portion includes a hole formed therein having a perimeter including a distal end and a proximal end, and including a longitudinal axis positioned therethrough; one of the proximal end of the perimeter and the distal end of the perimeter is angled away from the longitudinal axis and the other of the proximal end of the perimeter and the distal end of the perimeter is in line with the longitudinal axis; and the elongated cannulated tube is positioned through the hole in the cervical cup.
