FOETAL EXTRACTION DEVICE

A phoetal (i.e., fetal) extraction device including a frame configured to hold a biobag for receiving a baby, the frame having a distal end for insertion into a vagina, a longitudinal axis aligned with a insertion direction, and a radial direction. The frame includes frame members having distal end configured for insertion and proximal ends attached to a connecting element. The frame members extend away from the connecting elements and are circumferentially spaced apart around the longitudinal axis. The frame members are expandable in the radial direction such that a radial position of radial orientation of the frame members is adjustable relative to the connecting element. A kit of parts including at least the frame and the biobag.

Apparatus for extraction of at least one element from a cavity and a pressure limitation apparatus

There is provided an apparatus for extraction of at least one object from a cavity. The apparatus includes a sleeve including an inflatable section configured to surround the at least one object during inflation; a handle configured to enable a user to hold the sleeve, the handle defining a holding edge of an opening at a first portion of the sleeve; and a handle-mount mounted to a peripheral area around the opening, the handle-mount being for attachment of a pump used for inflating the inflatable section. There is also provided a pressure limitation apparatus configured to operate with a birth assistance device when attached via a conduit.

Expandable vertebral prosthesis

The present invention relates to an expandable prosthetic implant device for engagement between vertebrae generally comprising an inner member, outer member, and gear member positioned coaxial with respect to each other such that the inner and outer members are moveable relative to each other along an axis. The gear member is axially fixed to the outer member and freely rotatable with respect to the outer member and the gear member threadedly engages a threaded portion of the inner member to translate inner member along the axis. The implant is configured to engage the vertebrae in a predetermined alignment and the gear member includes gear teeth exposed to the exterior and configured to be accessible by a tool member at a plurality of angular positions around the perimeter of the implant device.
