DIAMETER REGULATOR OF A DEVICE USED TO EXTRACT AN ELEMENT THAT IS INSIDE A CAVITY AND METHOD OF USE
20190029724 · 2019-01-31 · ·

A regulator diameter device to extract an element that is inside a cavity, which is introduced together with a flexible sleeve and an applicator, which comprises an adjustment strip of flexible material; and at least of a mean to regulate said diameter, with the adjustment strip open. The means to regulate such strip: a hollow case with a distal end and a proximal end, fixed to one of the traction handles, at least one string passes through this case, in which the distal ends of the at least one string, are fixed to the open ends of the adjustment strip, while the proximal ends of the string are fixed to a pulling system. The method of use of regulator diameter device to extract an element that is inside a cavity comprises the following steps: a. Introduce the combination (regulator device and the applicator) inside the cavity until the applicators' cup makes its first contact with the element to be extracted; b) go on pushing the combination which will open the distal ends of the applicator tentacles; c) once the mayor area of the element to be extracted is passed a first regulation of the adjustment strip is done, pulling the trigger and blocking it in this new position; d) keep on pushing until the final insertion; e) regulate again the adjustment strip until its final measure, being able to measure the diameter of the element to be extracted, which can be read in the pulling system scale; f) inflate the air chamber if the device has one; g) remove the applicator; h) pull the traction handles to extract the element that is inside the cavity.

Cervical cerclage assistance device

A medical device for interacting with a patient's cervix is provided. The device includes a grasper configured to allow gripping and compression of a patient's cervix when disposed proximate a patient's cervix and an elongate catheter comprising a distal portion that is selectively releasably connectable to the grasper. The grasper is adapted to interact with at least a portion of a patient's cervix when deployed, and a flexible member that extends from a first end portion of the grasper, with a proximal end portion retained by the grasper and an opposite distal end portion extending away from the grasper to a distal tip.

OBSTETRIC APPARATUS AND METHOD
20180206886 · 2018-07-26 ·

An obstetric apparatus and method for repositioning a fetal head within the birth canal of a woman in labor. A user, typically an obstetrician, surgeon or similarly trained medical personnel, can efficiently and safely engage a fetal head that is wedged in the parturient woman's pelvis and lift it up in the birth canal towards the uterus, for safe delivery of the baby via C-section. The apparatus comprises an elongated and substantially rigid shaft, a pivoting neck and a soft engaging portion that includes a flexible outer cup and an inflatable inner cup for engaging the fetal head. The inventive apparatus and method can provide a mechanical advantage for repositioning the head of the fetus, and can provide assistance for C-section delivery in order to minimize maternal and neonatal complications.

Instrument for occlusion of uterine blood vessels

A surgical instrument for at least partial occlusion of the uterus blood vessels comprising two opposing jaws with scissor-type handles and a latching mechanism. Each jaw has a straight member 1 and a straight member 2 connected with an angle 30-45 degrees. Each said member 1 has a tubular cover. Each member 2 is integrated with the scissor-type handle. Each jaw has an inner side and an outer side. The jaws are made movable relative to each other in order to at least partially occlude the uterus blood vessels by the opposite sides of the covers on the inner sides of the members 1. The latching mechanism is made to retain the jaws in the working position over a needed period of time and release the jaws when the need for occlusion is over. Each cover has an inner cavity open from one end for receiving and retaining the member 1 of said jaw. The thickness of each said cover on the inner side of the member 1 is 8-12 mm, the width of said cover is 10-30 mm, the length of said cover is 50-60 mm, and said cover is made of soft plastic, silicon, fabric, gauze or non woven material.

Systems, tools, and methods for treatments of pelvic conditions

Described are surgical procedure systems, devices, tools, and methods, useful for treating pelvic conditions in a male or female, involving an expansion member. The invention relates to an expansion member that includes a proximal end, a distal end, a length extending from the proximal end to the distal end, two longitudinal blades extending in the length direction, and a connector connecting the blades. The connector allows movement of the blades to increase or decrease a distance between the blades at the distal end.

Female Urethral Catheterization Assist Device

A female urethral catheterization assist device and method of use. The female urethral catheterization assist device includes a pair of blades pivotally connected at a middle point that enables a user to selectively open and close the blades. A handle is positioned at one end of each blade and a panel is disposed at an opposing end. The panels extend in the same direction and form an interior lateral side. Each panel is adapted to engage with a labia minora and majora, to allow for the insertion of a female urethral catheter.

PERINEAL PROTECTION DEVICE AND EXTRACTION BAG, PERINEAL HORSESHOE AND SLEEVE

A device to protect the perineal and an extraction bag. This device has a perineal horseshoe and an optionally perineal forchette. The perineal horseshoe is a U-shaped piece with a wide base. The side opposite to the wide base defines a curved surface. The bag is a sleeve folded on itself, producing two concentric tubes. These tubes formed a pair of traction handles. The perineal horseshoe has at least one guide rail and one of the tubes, whether internal or external, have a guide that works in coordination with the herein mentioned guide rail. The perineal forchette consists of a supportive central axis, a handle, a tab and two articulated arms linked to the central axis. The sleeve can have a pair of additional traction handles in its distal end.
