The present invention relates to a nitro compound hydrogenation reaction process and hydrogenation reaction apparatus, which can achieve the objects of the continuous reaction of the nitro compound and the long-period run of regeneration and activation. The nitro compound hydrogenation reaction process comprises a hydrogenation step, a regeneration step, an optional activation step and a recycling step. There exists at least one step of degassing the spent catalyst between the hydrogenation step and the regeneration step. According to circumstances, there exists at least one step of degassing the regenerated catalyst between the regeneration step and the activation step.

CATALYST SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING AROMATIC AMINES

The invention relates to a catalyst system suitable for hydrogenating aromatic nitro compounds (I) to form the corresponding aromatic amines (II), the catalyst system containing, as essential constituents: a component A selected from the group consisting of silicon carbide, corundum (alpha-Al.sub.2O.sub.3) and slightly porous to non-porous zirconium oxide (ZrO.sub.2); and a component B, containing B1—a carrier substance selected from the group consisting of silicon dioxide, gamma-, delta- or theta-aluminum oxide Al.sub.2O.sub.3, titanium dioxide, zirconium dioxide and graphite, B2—a metal or a plurality of metals selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, palladium, platinum and cobalt, and optionally B3—an additional metal selected from the group consisting of at least one metal selected from main group I, main group II, main group IV and sub-groups II, V, VI and VIII of the periodic table of the elements, the proportion of component A being in the range of 5 to 60 wt %, in relation to the total weight of the catalyst system, and the aromatic nitro compounds (I) being those of the general formula R—(NO.sub.2).sub.n, (I), and the aromatic amines (II) being those of the general formula R—(NH.sub.2).sub.n, (II), and the moieties R and indices n in formulas (I) and (II) having the following meaning: R is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic C.sub.6-C.sub.10 moiety and n is an integer from 1 to 5.

This invention provides 1-pyridyl pyrazole amide compounds represented by Formula (I) and preparation and uses thereof, wherein each substituent is defined in the disclosure. A carbon-coated transition metal nanocomposite material includes carbon-coated transition metal particles having a core-shell structure. The shell layer of the core-shell structure is a graphitized carbon layer doped with oxygen and/or nitrogen, and the core of the core-shell structure is a transition metal nanoparticle. The nanocomposite material has a structure rich in mesopores, is an adsorption/catalyst material with excellent performance, can be used for catalyzing various hydrogenation reduction reactions, or used as a catalytic-oxidation catalyst useful for the treatment of volatile organic compounds in industrial exhaust gases.

A method of producing the supported catalyst and a process of reducing nitroarenes to corresponding aromatic amines employing the supported catalyst with a high product yield are also described. The supported catalyst may be recovered with ease using an external magnet and reused.

NITROGEN CONTAINING BIOPOLYMER-BASED CATALYSTS, A PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION AND USES THEREOF

The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of a nitrogen containing biopolymer-based catalyst and to the novel nitrogen containing biopolymer-based catalysts obtainable by this process. In particular, the invention relates to a novel nitrogen containing biopolymer-based catalyst comprising metal particles and at least one nitrogen containing carbon layer. The invention also relates to the use of a nitrogen containing biopolymer-based catalyst in a hydrogenation process, preferably in a process for hydrogenation of nitroarenes, nitriles or imines; in a reductive dehalogenation process of C—X bonds, wherein X is Cl, Br or I, preferably in a process for dehalogenation of organohalides or in a process for deuterium labelling of arenes via dehalogenation of organohalides; or in an oxidation process. Further, the invention relates to a metal complex with the nitrogen containing biopolymer, wherein the metal is a transition metal selected from the group consisting of manganese, ruthenium, cobalt, rhodium, nickel, palladium and platinum, and wherein the nitrogen containing biopolymer is selected from chitosan, chitin and a polyamino acid.
