BONE ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY
A bone attachment assembly may include an attachment head, a set screw configured to attach to the attachment head, and a rod surface with a first raised portion and a second raised portion that define a lowered portion positioned between the first raised portion and the second raised portion. The first raised portion, the second raised portion, and the set screw may be configured to directly contact a rod in order to retain the rod within the attachment head.
TIBIAL SUPRAPATELLAR ENTRY PORTAL SYSTEM
A tibial suprapatellar entry portal system (1) comprising a sleeve (2), an anchor pin (200), and a trocar (40).
IMPROVED LINEAR FIBULAR NAIL
A fibular nail for repairing distal fibular fractures is provided that does not require a transfibular-transtibial interlocking screw for stabilization. The nail provides transverse apertures permitting fixation of the proximal and distal portions of a fractured fibula to the nail. The nail has apertures for securing the fibula to the nail on the proximal side of a fracture and on the distal side of a fracture. Optionally, the nail may be connected to the tibia for stabilization.
WRIST FUSION SYSTEM AND DELIVERY TOOL
A four corner fusion system can include a curved plate that is more aligned with the natural anatomy of the wrist joint, and/or fewer number of screws (for example, about three or four screws). The system can have a lower profile, resulting in less soft tissue impingement. A surgical tool with a pair of offsetting clamping arms can be used to aid in bone reduction during a wrist fusion procedure.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SPINAL REALIGNMENT
Various embodiments of an anchor and intradiscal implant for surgical realignment of a misaligned spine are disclosed herein.
Medical device and method to correct deformity
A system for correcting a spinal deformity includes an implant fixed to one side of a vertebra and a rod extending along an axis of the spine on a second side of the vertebra. An adjustment member, which may include a reel, is coupled to the rod. A force directing member, such as a cable, extends between the rod and the adjustment member. The force directing member is retractable toward and extendible from the adjustment member. A method of correcting spinal deformity includes providing an implant, a rod, an adjustment member coupled to the rod, and a force directing member extending between the rod and the adjustment member. The adjustment member can be retractable toward and extendible from the adjustment member.
DEVICE FOR ATTACHING A FLAT BAND ON A BONE PART
A device for attaching a flat and flexible band on at least one bone part, comprising the band having two end portions, a rigid base body crossed by an opening, and a retaining part that can be inserted in the opening. The retaining part is at least partially in the shape of a squeezable wedge comprising a central bore for passage of the end portions facing the flexible band, the bore having a transverse cross-section that can be deformed between a first cross-section for free passage of the end portions when the part has not been inserted in the opening and a second cross-section for locking the end portions by compression when the part is entirely or substantially entirely inserted in the opening.
Press fit stem
A method of implanting a medical implant comprises the steps of reaming a tapered bore to a first depth and a counter bore, coaxial to the tapered bore, to a second depth less than the first depth in a long bone. The counter bore has a larger diameter than the tapered bore. The method further includes inserting a medical implant into the tapered bore and counter bore. The medical implant includes a stem and a collar disposed around a portion of the stem. Inserting the medical implant include fully seating a portion of the stem into the tapered bore to form a press-fit between the stem and the long bone. The collar may be moved into the counter bore to a depth less than the second depth.
Female polyaxial joint and method of using same
Female polyaxial joints for connecting a strut to a support frame of an external fixation device are described having a ball socket and a ball member. The ball member includes a spherical portion and a ball member shaft extending from the spherical portion. At least one aperture is positioned on the ball member and traverses through at least a portion of the ball member shaft. An internal surface of the ball member shaft may be threaded and configured to receive a threaded connector.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR SPINE AND SACROILIAC JOINT REPAIR
Apparatus and methods for treating a spinal body having an interior. The method may include augmenting a height of the spinal body by radially expanding a first mesh cage in the interior. The method may include removing the first cage from the interior. The method may include supporting the spinal body in an elevated position by radially expanding a second mesh cage in the interior. The method may also include surgically enclosing the second cage in the interior.
