Clip-on reducer
10080594 · 2018-09-25 · ·

A clip-on reducer tool assembly for seating a spinal fixation rod in a rod receiving implant, the tool assembly has an outer sleeve. The outer sleeve has a proximal end with a cylindrical portion having a threaded opening, a first leg extension extending therefrom to a distal end, and a second leg extension joined to the first leg extension at an intermediate location between the distal end and proximal end. The second leg extension extends from the distal end toward the proximal end to a lever end spaced from the cylindrical portion. The leg extensions at the distal end have grasping members to engage an outer surface of a rod receiving implant and a fulcrum proximally located near the intermediate location configured to enlarge the space between the leg extension at the distal end as the lever end is depressed inwardly relative to a longitudinal axis of the outer sleeve.

ORTHOPEDIC FIXATION DEVICES AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION THEREOF
20180263664 · 2018-09-20 ·

Orthopedic fixation devices and methods of installing the same. The orthopedic fixation device may include a coupling element and a bone fastener, whereby the bone fastener can be loaded into the coupling element through the bottom of a bore in the coupling element and a retention member is configured to allow polyaxial rotation of the bone fastener and also to lock the bone fastener in place upon application of a force on a saddle and clamp in the coupling element.

TREATMENT OF A RUPTURE OF A BODY COMPONENT
20180256143 · 2018-09-13 ·

A fibrin adhesive for use in the minimally-invasive treatment of a rupture of a body component formed by hard connective tissue adhesively bonds to that body component. A suitable treatment method features locating the rupture, providing the fibrin adhesive, and supplying the fibrin adhesive at the body component to be treated.

Lateral spinous process spacer with deployable wings

Interspinous process implants are disclosed. Also disclosed are systems and kits including such implants, methods of inserting such implants, and methods of alleviating pain or discomfort associated with the spinal column.

Spinal implant system and method
10070902 · 2018-09-11 · ·

A spinal implant comprises a body including an inner surface that defines a cavity. The inner surface includes a baffle. The body is disposable between a contracted configuration and an in vivo expandable configuration. Systems and methods are disclosed.

Extra-articular implantable mechanical energy absorbing systems and implantation method

A system and method for sharing and absorbing energy between body parts. In one aspect, the method involves identifying link pivot locations, fixing base components and minimally invasive insertion techniques. In one particular aspect, the system facilitates absorbing energy between members forming a joint such as between articulating bones.

Active and passive devices for redistributing forces for the medial and lateral knee
10045848 · 2018-08-14 · ·

Implant apparatus and methods directed toward treating conditions involving the knee joint are disclosed. Full range of motion of the knee joint and tissue integrity are maintained in treatment approaches. In one particular approach, osteoarthritis of the knee joint is addressed by unloading one or more of the lateral and medial compartments.

Dynamic intervertebral stabilisation device

A dynamic intervertebral stabilization device (1) comprising the following elements: an upper hook (10), a lower hook (13), a hollow cylindrical body (14), a viscoelastic element,
as well as an upper hook (10) integrating a piston (11), which is braced with a minimum of contact on the viscoelastic element, which permits upper (10) and lower (13) hooks to be moved in multiaxial manner within a solid angle () while absorbing deformations in compression and in flexion by virtue of the damping produced by the viscoelastic element.

BONE HOLDING DEVICE
20180214188 · 2018-08-02 ·

A bone holding device comprising: at least one conformable elongated member having a first portion, a second portion and an intermediate portion therebetween; a rod with at least one transverse passage which opens into at least one of two opposite side faces of the rod, said passage being delimited by inner surfaces of the rod, and at least one compression member, the compression member and said inner surfaces both defining clamping surfaces and cooperating so that the first and second portions of the elongated member can be inserted and clamped between said clamping surfaces. A method using such a device.

MULTIPOINT FIXATION IMPLANTS

Bone anchor assemblies are disclosed herein that can provide for improved fixation as compared with traditional bone anchor assemblies. An exemplary assembly can include a bracket or wing that extends down from the receiver member and accommodates one or more auxiliary bone anchors that augment the fixation of the assembly's primary bone anchor. Another exemplary assembly can include a plate that is seated between the receiver member and the rod and accommodates one or more auxiliary bone anchors that augment the fixation of the assembly's primary bone anchor. Another exemplary assembly can include a hook that extends out from the receiver member to hook onto an anatomical structure or another implant to augment the fixation of the assembly's primary bone anchor. Surgical methods using the bone anchor assemblies described herein are also disclosed.
