Molecular sieve SSZ-107, its synthesis and use
09981853 · 2018-05-29 · ·

This disclosure is directed to a novel crystalline molecular sieve designated as SSZ-107, its synthesis using 1,1-diethylpyrrolidinium cations as a structure directing agent, and its use as an adsorbent and/or a catalyst.

Process and catalyst for methane conversion to aromatics

A process and catalyst for use therein for the production of aromatics via the oxidative coupling of methane and methane co-aromatization with higher hydrocarbons in a single reaction stage. First, methane is partially converted to ethane and ethylene on an OCM catalyst component, and the OCM intermediate mixture containing methane, ethane and ethylene is subsequently converted into aromatics on an aromatization catalyst component. The reaction may be conducted at 550-850 C. and at about 50 psig. The claimed process and catalyst used therein achieves high methane conversion at lower temperatures (less than 800 C.), higher methane conversion into the aromatic products and significant reductions in production cost when compared to the traditional two (or more) step processes.

SYNTHESIS OF ZEOLITE WITH THE CHA CRYSTAL STRUCTURE, SYNTHESIS PROCESS AND USE THEREOF FOR CATALYTIC APPLICATIONS

The present invention relates to a new synthesis process of a crystalline material with the CHA structure, which comprises the following steps: i) Preparation of a mixture that comprises one source of water, one source of a tetravalent element Y, one source of an alkaline or alkaline earth cation (A), one source of a trivalent element X, and one organic molecule (OSDA1) with the structure [R.sup.1R.sup.2R.sup.3R.sup.4N.sup.+]Q.sup., being the molar composition: n X.sub.2O.sub.3:YO.sub.2:a A:m OSDA1:z H.sub.2O, ii) crystallisation of the mixture obtained in i) in a reactor, iii) recovery of the crystalline material obtained in ii).

Catalyst and isomerisation process

An alkylaromatics isomerisation catalyst, which catalyst comprises at least 50 wt % of an inorganic binder; at least 0.01 wt % of a Group VIII metal and 1-9 wt % ZSM-12 zeolite wherein the silica to alumina molar ratio (SAR) of the ZSM-12 zeolite is in the range of from 60 to 200, and a process for the isomerisation of alkylaromatics to provide a reaction mixture, said process comprising contacting a hydrocarbon stream comprising alkylaromatics with such catalyst.

Metal-Loaded Zeolite Catalysts for the Halogen-Free Conversion of Dimethyl Ether to Methyl Acetate

A catalyst for the carbonylation of dimethyl ether to methyl acetate. The catalyst comprises a zeolite, such as a mordenite zeolite, at least one Group IB metal, such as copper, and/or at least one Group VIII metal, such as iron, and at least one Group IIB metal, such as zinc. Such a catalyst with combined metals provides enhanced catalytic activity, improved stability, and improved selectivity to methyl acetate, and does not require a halogen promoter, as compared to a metal-free or copper only zeolite.
