The present invention relates to novel light-emitting materials. These materials comprise a non-aromatic spiro polycyclic group. This new side chain could reduce the stacking of the light-emitting materials and result in high PLQY.

Phenanthrene compounds for organic electronic devices

The invention relates to specific phenanthrenes, the use of the compound in an electronic device, and an electronic device containing at least one of said compounds. The invention further relates to a method for producing the compound and a formulation and composition containing one or more of the compounds.

Thionyl tetrafluoride modified compounds and uses

Thionyl tetrafluoride gas reacts efficiently with primary amines to form reactive iminosulfur oxydifluoride compounds. These dual S.sup.VI—F loaded iminosulfur oxydifluoride compounds, in turn, readily react with secondary amines or aryloxy silyl ethers (ArO—SiR.sub.3), yielding the corresponding fused heteroatom-linked substrates. Iminosulfur oxyfluoride polymers also are provided by disclosed methods.

Methods and compositions for selective and targeted cancer therapy

Provided herein are methods and compositions for selective and targeted cancer therapy, in particular certain benzothiophenes, benzothiazoles, oxalamides, N-acyl ureas and chromones, and their use in selectively treating certain adenocarcinomas. In some embodiments, the selective toxicity of the compounds may be mediated through SCD1 and/or CYP450 such as CYP4F11.

Condensed cyclic compound and organic light-emitting device including the same

A condensed cyclic compound is represented by Formula 1: ##STR00001##
where X.sub.1-X.sub.4, L.sub.1-L.sub.4 R.sub.1-R.sub.6 and Ar.sub.1-Ar.sub.8 are as defined in the specification. An organic light-emitting device includes the condensed cyclic compound.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for monitoring and controlling electronic devices through the use of wired and wireless protocols. The systems and apparatuses may monitor their environment for signals from electronic devices. They may then take and disambiguate the signals that are received from the devices in their environment in order to identify said devices and associate control signals with them. The systems and apparatuses may then use communication means to send control signals to the identified electronic devices. Input and output transmission means for the systems and apparatuses may include, but are not limited to, powerline communication, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and 6LoWPAN. Signal processing and device identification may be done onboard the device, or may be done at a remote location. Multiple apparatuses or systems may be connected together into networks, including mesh networks, in order to make for a more robust architecture.

ABIETANE-TYPE DITERPENOIDS

The present invention relates to the field of wood rosin and resin acid derivatives and more particularly to abietane-type diterpenoids as well as different uses thereof. Furthermore, the present invention relates to methods of coating surfaces, preventing, reducing or inhibiting bacterial biofilm formation, and treating or preventing disorders caused by microbial growth and viability as well as bacterial colonization.

NOVEL AMINO-PHENYL-SULFONYL-ACETATE DERIVATIVES AND USE THEREOF

The present invention relates to a novel amino-phenyl-sulfonyl-acetate derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diabetes comprising the same as an active ingredient.
