Systems, instruments, and methods for minimally invasive procedures including one or more of fractional resection, fractional lipectomy, fractional skin grafting, and/or fractional scar revision are described. Embodiments include instrumentation comprising a scalpet assembly coupled to a carrier, and the scalpet assembly includes a scalpet array. The scalpet array includes one or more scalpets configured for fractional resection, fractional lipectomy, fractional skin grafting, and/or fractional scar revision. The system includes a vacuum component coupled to the scalpet assembly and configured to evacuate tissue from the a site. The carrier is configured to control application of a rotational force and/or a vacuum force to the scalpet assembly.

Devices and methods for tissue treatment produce a mechanical stimulation therapy and electromagnetic field therapy. The mechanical stimulation therapy provides stimulation of blood circulation and stimulates treated cells. The electromagnetic field enables thermal treatment of tissue. Combination of both therapies improves soft tissue treatment, mainly connective tissue in the skin area and fat reduction.

Systems and methods for the use of cooling to trigger desirable effects of increased vasculature and/or development of new collagen in biological tissue are provided. In particular, the systems and methods provide a cooling treatment system configured to provide bulk or fractionated cooling at either at ablative temperatures or intermediary remodeling temperatures to promote tissue remodeling by inducing increased vasculature and/or the formation of new collagen.

Proposed is a laser treatment device having a cooling system, the device including a laser module which irradiates a patient's skin with a laser, a sensing unit which detects a temperature of a surface of the patient's skin before, during, or after the skin is heated by the laser, a cooling module which includes an inlet which receives a refrigerant from a refrigerant storage unit, a nozzle which sprays the refrigerant on the skin, a conduit which connects the inlet with the nozzle, an flow rate control unit which controls a spray amount of the refrigerant by using a valve which is positioned on the conduit and connects or disconnects the inlet with or from the nozzle, and a refrigerant condition control unit which applies a thermal energy to the refrigerant by using a thermoelectric element located between the flow rate control unit and the nozzle.

A method for tissue coagulation includes using a device that has a plurality of conductive elements and a return electrode which is in the form of a grid. A moving mechanism moves the conductive elements so that the tip of each conductive element protrudes distally through the spaces of the grid of the return electrode into a tissue at a first depth. A first radiofrequency (RF) voltage is applied between the tips of each conductive element, which are at the first depth, and the return electrode. The conductive elements are then moved from the first depth to second depth of protrusion, and a second RF voltage is applied between the tips of each conductive element at the second depth and the return electrode.

Disclosed is a high frequency treatment handpiece having roller electrodes. The handpiece includes: a handpiece casing part; and a plurality of roller electrode members rotatably positioned on a lower surface of the handpiece casing part and applying a high frequency by being brought into contact with the skin. The handpiece prevents burning when the continuous rubbing of a treated area is performed during a treatment, allows a practitioner to conveniently perform the treatment, and allows a person being treated to comfortably receive the treatment with minimum pain. Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.

A treatment device for providing a magnetic treatment and a radiofrequency treatment to a body area of a patient. The device includes an energy storage device for storing electric energy, a magnetic field generating device, and a switching device to discharge the electrical energy from the energy storage device to the magnetic field generating device, such that a time-varying magnetic field is generated and provides muscle contraction to a muscle in the body area of the patient. The time-varying magnetic field may have a magnetic field density in a range of 0.1 Tesla to 7 Tesla and a repetition rate in a range of 0.1 Hz to 700 Hz. The device may also include a radiofrequency electrode to generate radiofrequency waves to heat a tissue in the body of the patient. A body of the radiofrequency electrode may include a plurality of openings in a range of 5 to 1000 openings.

Proposed is an RF electrode cartridge for skin beauty care treatment and a handpiece for skin beauty care treatment provided with the same. While being freely tilted for all ranges of 360 angle degrees around a ball joint part 140 within a radius thereof, the RF electrode body 120 moves in a state of being brought into close contact with the skin during the procedure, thereby preventing an accident that may occur while the RF electrode body 120 is spaced apart from the skin and in which damage to the skin tissue or burns to the skin may be caused. Accordingly, the present disclosure may greatly improve safety during a procedure.

The present disclosure provides a method for treating clinical or pre-clinical skin damage in a skin field of a subject, wherein the skin field has been allocated a skin cancerization field index (SCFI) score of at least 1 as determined by a process comprising the steps of: (i) assessing the number of keratoses in the skin field; (ii) assessing the thickness of the thickest keratosis in the skin field; and (iii) assessing the proportion of the field affected by clinical or subclinical skin damage. Based on the assessments made in (i), (ii) and (iii) the subject is optionally treated by at least one of (a) freezing one or more lesions, (b) shaving, curetting or surgically removing one or more lesions, (c) applying a topical treatment for actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma, and (d) radiation therapy.
