SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR ABLATION AND DEFUNCTIONALIZATION OF A GALLBLADDER WITH DOSAGE FEEDBACK
Provided herein are catheter devices, systems, and methods to ablate a tissue location. The devises, systems, and methods disclosed herein include ablation systems including a catheter system with inner and outer shafts that deliver an ablation medium (e.g., a cryogenic ablation medium) to a body lumen and evacuate the ablation medium from the body lumen. In some embodiments, devices, systems, and methods disclosed herein relate to monitoring and regulating pressure, temperature, or other conditions within a body lumen during an ablation procedure.
SHALLOW SURFACE CRYOTHERAPY APPLICATORS AND RELATED TECHNOLOGY
Systems for treating a subject's tissue can include a thermally conductive cup with vacuum features configured to facilitate removal of air located between the cup and the subject's skin. The vacuum features can extend along cup to provide airflow paths to a vacuum port. The applicator can cool and/or heat the retained tissue to affect targeted tissue. After the treat period, the vacuum can be reduced or stop and the applicator can be removed from the subject.
Tool for cryosurgery
A tool for cryosurgery for handling tissue is disclosed, which is particularly suited for ophthalmic applications. The tool for cryosurgery (1) comprises a tubular body (2), a container (3) positioned within the tubular body (2) for holding cryogenic fluid and a treatment tip (4) connected to a distal end (2a) of the tubular body (2). A capillary (5) for transporting cryogenic fluid from the container (3) to the treatment tip (4) is also provided. The treatment tip (4) comprises a closed off end tip (6) and a shaft (7) of thermally insulating material having an inner lumen (8) with a diameter (d.sub.l) which is larger than an outer diameter (d.sub.o) of the capillary (5), the shaft (7) being sealingly coupled to the closed off end tip (6).
CRYOABLATION PROBES WITH HEAT EXCHANGER IN RETURN CRYOGEN LINE
A cryoprobe assembly includes a needle, a flexible conduit, and a handle portion configured to couple the needle to the flexible conduit to create a cryogen flow path. The flexible conduit includes a counterflow heat exchanger to transfer thermal energy from supply cryogen to return cryogen prior to reaching the needle in order to achieve a predetermined temperature during Joule-Thompson expansion in the needle.
CATHETER, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR SELECTIVE ABLATION IN THE MUCOSA AND SUBMUCOSA OF THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT
Catheters, systems, and methods for cryogenic ablation of gastrointestinal tract tissue are described. Catheter includes a probe and a cryogenic supply assembly housed within the probe. The cryogenic supply assembly includes a sprayer orifice assembly having a sprayer tube and a seal chamber component, and a cryogenic supply line within the sprayer orifice assembly. The sprayer tube includes one or more sprayer orifices for delivery of a cryogenic fluid from the cryogenic supply line to the probe. The seal chamber component includes a seal chamber associated with each of the one or more sprayer orifices and forms a fluidic conduit between the cryogenic supply line and the one or more sprayer orifices through which the cryogenic fluid flows to the probe. The cryogenic supply assembly is configured so that the cryogenic supply line and the sprayer tube move either axially independent of one another or axially together as one unit.
