Systems and methods for treating prostate cancer
A vapor delivery needle and method is provided that is adapted for treating prostate cancer. The energy delivery probe can apply condensable vapor energy to tissue, such as a peripheral zone tissue in a human prostate. In one method, a needle is introduced into peripheral zone tissue of a human prostate, and vapor media is delivered through the needle to ablate peripheral zone tissue without ablating non-peripheral zone tissue. Systems for treating prostate cancer with vapor therapy are also provided.
Method and device for treating retinal detachment
A device for fusing two or more tissues is disclosed. The device comprises a hand held probe comprising a fluid receiving opening, a channel and an outlet in fluid communication whereby fluid passes through the channel and exits the outlet where it is directed to at least one of the two or more tissues and/or a space in-between. A disruptive emitter comprised on the probe which emits a force sufficient to fuse the two or more tissues. The device finds particular application to treatment of a detached retina by fusing the retina and the retinal pigmented epithelium. A method of fusing two or more tissues including a retina and underlying retinal pigmented epithelium is also disclosed.
VESSEL SEALER WITH HEATING AND COOLING CAPABILITIES
Certain aspects relate to systems, devices and techniques for vessel sealing and cutting. In particular, an instrument is provided that is capable of performing multiple functions, including sealing and cutting. The instrument can be robotically controlled, and can include a shaft, a multi-DOF wrist, and an end effector. The end effector is capable of generating and delivering heat via different energy modalities to perform the various functions at different temperatures.
Methods and devices to treat nasal airways
A method for reshaping a nasal airway in a patient involves advancing an inflatable balloon of a reshaping device in an uninflated configuration into a nostril of the patient and between a nasal septum and a lateral wall of the nasal airway. The method then involves inflating the inflatable balloon to an inflated configuration to cause the inflatable balloon to contact nasal mucosa covering the nasal septum and the lateral wall, delivering energy from an energy delivery member attached to or inside of the inflatable balloon, and removing the reshaping device from the nasal airway.
INDUCTION COIL ASSEMBLY FOR UTERINE ABLATION AND METHOD
A vapor delivery device includes an induction coil system. The induction coil system can include a coiled fluid tube, a coiled wire, a capsule between the coiled fluid tube and the wire, and a cooling fluid supply configured to force a cooling fluid through the capsule across the coiled wire. The induction coil system can include a closed loop ferrite core, a wire coiled around a first portion of the ferrite core, and a fluid tube coiled around a second portion of the ferrite core. A wire coil can be contained in a cartridge system removably coupleable to a disposable vapor delivery device. The system can include a fluid flow controller and induction power regulation to maintain a specific operating pressure range for vapor within a uterus or other bodily cavity, tract, or duct.

BALLOON-IN-BASKET ABLATION CATHETER
A catheter comprises an expandable spline structure defining a distal tip portion of the catheter. The spline structure comprises a plurality of individual splines, and each spline is configured to support a plurality of energy transfer elements and/or temperature sensors. An expandable balloon configured to be associated with the spline structure is unattached to the spline structure along its length.
INTESTINAL CATHETER DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A system for ablating surface tissue of a patient is provided. The system includes a console and an ablation catheter fluidly attached to the console. The console includes an ablative fluid supply, a neutralizing fluid supply, an injectate fluid supply, a pump assembly, and a vacuum supply. The ablation catheter includes an expandable functional assembly, a tissue expansion subsystem for expanding sub-surface tissue in the intestine of the patient, and a tissue ablation subsystem for ablating surface tissue in the intestine of the patient. Methods of ablating surface tissue are also provided.
Thermodilatation and Thermocompression to Facilitate Targeted Cluster Tissue Ablation and Immune Response
Method for treatment of the body with localized energy application in combination with other treatments to facilitate cluster tissue ablation and increase immune response including a method of treatment of a localized treatment area of a body including injection, IV or otherwise to entrap and/saturate a localized treatment area to be used singularly or in combination with: a high electric conductive material comprising a saline solution, hypertonic saline solution, a solution with metallic compounds, metals, nanoparticles, gel, polymers, high-polarity molecules, peptides, liposomes to treat and cause preferential heating and effect secondary conductive heating from cluster sites to adjacent tissues using external or intracavitary energy applicators.
