Methods and systems for modulating intraosseous nerves (e.g., nerves within bone) are provided. For example, the methods and systems described herein may be used to modulate (e.g., denervate, ablate) basivertebral nerves within vertebrae. The modulation of the basivertebral nerves may facilitate treatment of chronic back pain. The modulation may be performed by a neuromodulation device (e.g., an energy delivery device).

Drive and articulation mechanisms for surgical instruments for use in robotic surgical systems
A gearbox assembly for a surgical instrument includes an articulation sub-assembly and a jaw drive sub-assembly. The articulation sub-assembly is configured to articulate an end effector of the surgical instrument and the jaw drive sub-assembly is configured to move jaw members of the end effector between an open and closed position. The articulation sub-assembly includes two input shafts, a proximal plate, a middle plate, two center gears, and four lead screws with four nuts. The jaw drive sub-assembly includes a drive rod coupled to at least one of the jaws and a spring force assembly to maintain a force between the jaws.
Methods, devices, and support structures for assembling optical fibers in catheter tips
Described herein are methods, devices, and support structures for assembling optical fibers in catheter tips and facilitating alignment and structural support. A method for assembling a plurality of optical fibers and lenses in a support structure for an ablation catheter includes providing a support structure with a proximal end, a body, and a distal end, wherein the distal end includes a plurality of alignment orifices or slits. A plurality of optical fibers are threaded through the alignment orifices or slits, such that each optical fiber is threaded through a corresponding alignment orifice or slit. An adhesive material is applied at each alignment orifice or slit to secure the optical fibers, and the plurality of optical fibers are then cleaved at the distal end to remove portions of the fibers extending out of the distal end. Finally, a lens is attached to each of the ends of the plurality of optical fibers.

Apparatus for dermatological treatment
The present invention relates to a light emitting device for providing dermatological treatment. The present invention comprises a housing structure for housing a light emitting source, a fan and a duct. The light emitting source is arranged to emit light energy to external of the device and the fan is configured for directing air heated by operation of the light emitting source into the duct. The duct is arranged to direct heated air in an airstream pathway from an outlet port of a distal end of the duct and through an aperture in the housing structure where the housing structure and the duct are relatively arranged such that no part of the housing structure extends into the air stream pathway in order to minimise heat exchange from the heated air to the housing structure.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR EVALUATING NEUROMODULATION THERAPY VIA DETECTION OF MAGNETIC FIELDS
Systems and methods for measuring the magnetic fields generated by renal nerves before and/or after neuromodulation therapy are disclosed herein. One method for measuring the magnetic field of target nerves during a neuromodulation procedure includes positioning a neuromodulation catheter at a target site within a renal blood vessel of a human patient near the target nerves, and detecting a measurement of the magnetic field generated by the target nerves. The method can further include determining, based on the measurement of the magnetic field, a location of the target nerves, a location of ablation at the target nerves, and/or a percentage the target nerves were ablated by delivered neuromodulation energy.
Methods and compositions for tissue adhesives
Disclosed herein are methods of connecting disrupted tissue, tissue repair, treating colorectal disorder and tissue welding. The methods comprise using a bioadhesive composition comprising ELP and light absorbing chromophores and irradiating the bioadhesive tissue.
Pulmonary hypertension treatment
Disclosed herein is a therapeutically active agent usable in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), for use in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, as well as methods of treating PAH, said treatment and methods comprising administering such an active agent and effecting pulmonary artery denervation in the subject. In some aspects, a sub-therapeutically effective amount of the active agent is administered. In some aspects, the method is devoid of administering such an active agent for at least one month subsequent to the denervation. Further disclosed is a method of treating PAH comprising determining a responsiveness of the subject to at least one therapeutically active agent usable in treating PAH; and effecting pulmonary artery denervation in a subject responsive to the active agent(s).
