Device interoperation
A surgical robotic system comprising: a surgical robot; a user interface console coupled to the surgical robot whereby a user can control motion of the surgical robot; a data logger for logging data from a surgical procedure performed by means of the robot; and a portable user terminal; the system further comprising: a display controllable by one of the data logger and the user terminal, that one of the data logger and the user terminal being configured for displaying a machine-readable code whereby the data logger or a user of the user terminal can be identified; and a camera coupled to the other of the data logger and the user terminal; the said other of the data logger and the user terminal being configured to, on receiving from the camera an image of a machine-readable code, decode that code to identify the data logger or a user of the user terminal and to cause the identified entity to be logged in association with a procedure performed by means of the robot.
Electrosurgical system
An electrosurgical system is provided and includes a bipolar electrosurgical instrument and an electrosurgical generator. The bipolar electrosurgical instrument is arranged to seal and cut tissue captured between jaws of the bipolar electrosurgical instrument. The electrosurgical generator is arranged to supply RF energy through the bipolar electrosurgical instrument, monitor the supplied RF energy, and adjust or terminate the supplied RF energy to optimally seal the tissue.
SURGERY SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, SURGICAL APPARATUS, AND PROGRAM
The present technology relates to a surgery system, a control method, a surgical apparatus, and a program that allow easy updating of a function of a medical apparatus. A configuration includes an information processor, and a surgical apparatus. The information processor includes a storage section storing an application, and a transmission section transmitting, in response to a request from the surgical apparatus, the application stored in the storage section. The surgical apparatus includes a reception section receiving the application transmitted by the transmission section, and an execution section executing the application received by the reception section.
SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING AND CONTROLLING SURGICAL TOOLS
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for maintaining and controlling surgical tools are disclosed. For each surgical tool, a surgeon can give verbal commands which can result in feedback provided by a synthesized voice or the execution of an action as instructed by the verbal command. The tools are monitored during use to ensure the tools remain within their operating parameters. The system alerts the surgeon should the tools approach their operational limitations.
Systems and methods for displaying medical imaging data
A system for displaying medical imaging data comprising one or more data inputs, one or more processors, and one or more displays, wherein the one or more data inputs are configured for receiving first image data generated by a first medical imaging device, wherein the first image data comprises a field of view (FOV) portion and a non-FOV portion, and the one or more processors are configured for identifying the non-FOV portion of the first image data and generating cropped first image data by removing at least a portion of the non-FOV portion of the first image data, and transmitting the cropped first image data for display in a first portion of the display and additional information for display in a second portion of the display.
Segmented control inputs for surgical robotic systems
A robotic surgical system for treating a patient is disclosed including a surgical tool movable relative to the patient and a user input device configured to remotely control the surgical tool. The surgical tool includes a shaft and an end effector. The user input device includes a base and a controller movable to effect a first control motion a second control motion. The controller includes a first accessibility mode and a second accessibility mode. The robotic surgical system further includes a control circuit configured to receive a motion control signal from the user input device, determine a controller accessibility mode, permit the first control motion in response to the motion control signal in the first accessibility mode and in the second accessibility mode and permit the second control motion in response to the motion control signal in the second accessibility mode but not the first accessibility mode.
METHOD FOR OPERATING SURGICAL INSTRUMENT SYSTEMS
A method for adjusting the operation of a surgical instrument using machine learning in a surgical suite is disclosed.
Remote control apparatus and remote control system
A remote control apparatus according to one or more embodiments may include a display, an operation handle, an armrest, and a supporting mechanism. The supporting mechanism includes a supporting section that supports the display, the operation handle, and the armrest and a driver configured to move the supporting section in an up-and-down direction. The supporting mechanism is configured, upon transitioning between a first mode and a second mode, to move the supporting section by the driver in the up-and-down direction to move the display, the operation handle, and the armrest in an integrated manner in the up-and-down direction.
DEVICE AND METHOD OF PREDICTING USE INSTRUMENT, AND SURGERY ASSISTING ROBOT
A use instrument predicting device includes a motion recognizing module that recognizes a motion of a surgeon during a surgical operation based on motion detection data that is obtained by detecting the surgeon's motion, a situation recognizing module that recognizes a surgery situation based on the motion recognized result of the motion recognizing module, and a predicting module that predicts at least one kind of surgical instrument to be used next by the surgeon out of a plurality of kinds of surgical instruments given beforehand, based on the situation recognized result of the situation recognizing module.
