POLYMER WITH UPPER CRITICAL SOLUTION TEMPERATURE
Aspects generally relate to a temperature responsive polymer, more specifically to a polymer exhibiting an upper critical solution temperature (UCST) in an aqueous solution. In one aspect, a monomer compound includes one or more amide or thioamide groups; one or more ureido or thioureido groups; and one or more ethylenically unsaturated groups. In one aspect, a polymer, such as a homopolymer or a copolymer, is produced by polymerization of the monomer compound. The copolymer is produced by polymerization of the monomer compound and a comonomer, such as a hydrophobic comonomer, a hydrophilic comonomer, a pH responsive comonomer, a light responsive comonomer, and combinations thereof. The polymer exhibits a UCST from about 1° C. to about 100° C. in an aqueous solution at 1 atm.

Antibacterial Polymer
A antibacterial polymer having a molecular weight above a certain level, which is highly miscible with other polymers compared to a monomolecular type antibacterial agent and can be added during the melt extrusion process. Further the antibacterial polymer has the advantage of exhibiting excellent antibacterial properties against Gram-negative bacteria and does not elute over time.

LAMINATE CONTAINING AN ADHESION PROMOTER LAYER AND METHOD OF MAKING THE LAMINATE
A laminate can contain a substrate, an adhesion promoter layer, and a coating layer, wherein the adhesion promoter layer may include an isocyanate group containing compound of formula (1): R.sub.1—R.sub.2—N═C═O (1), with R.sub.1 being a functional group different than the isocyanate group, and R.sub.2 being substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl. The adhesion promoter layer can provide strong adhesion of the coating layer to the substrate by forming covalent bonds with the substrate and covalent bonds with the coating layer.
CYANOACRYLATE COMPOSITION WITH HAZARDLESS STABILIZER
The present invention relates to a curable cyanoacrylate composition comprising (i) at least one cyanoacrylate monomer, and (ii) at least one free radical stabilizer, wherein the free radical stabilizer is non-hazardous and shows good compatibility to the cyanoacrylate but does not impair the reactivity of the cyanoacrylate and its performance after curing.
