Amide and imide photoinitiators
Polymers are provided, in which a pendant photoinitiator moiety is linked to the polymer structure via an amide or a succinimide.
Transition metal catalysts for olefin polymerization
In one aspect, a chelating phosphine-phosphonic diamide (PPDA) ligand is described herein for constructing transition metal complexes operable for catalysis of olefin polymerization, including copolymerization of ethylene with polar monomer.

METHOD OF PREPARING BLOCK COPOLYMER AND THERMO-SENSITIVE CELL CULTURE SUBSTRATE HAVING THE BLOCK COPOLYMER
A method of preparing PNVCL block polymers as the substrate for thermo-sensitive cultureware is provided. A hydrophobic polymer of poly n-butyl mathacrylate (PBMA) is obtained by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) with typical haloalkane as an initiator. Further a thermo-sensitive block copolymer of poly n-vinyl caprolactam (PNVCL) is obtained by polymerization of N-vinyl caprolactam (NVCL) monomers using the hydrophobic PBMA polymer as a macroinitiator.
FLUORO ACRYLATE AND METHODS MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A number of variations may include a method including modifying fluorocopolymer polyols, diols, and related copolymers to make polymerizable materials through polymerizable unsaturation. A number of variations may include products, for example but not limited to coatings, films or painting including modifying fluorocopolymer polyols, diols, and related copolymers.

HYDROPHILIC COPOLYMER AND MEDICAL DEVICE
Disclosed is a hydrophilic copolymer including more than 50% by mol of a structural unit derived from a polymerizable monomer (A) from which a homopolymer having a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) is formed, a structural unit derived from a polymerizable monomer (B) having at least one group selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid group (−SO.sub.3H), a sulfate group (−OSO.sub.3H), a sulfurous acid group (−OSO.sub.2H), and a group of salts thereof, and a structural unit derived from a polymerizable monomer (C) having a photoreactive group. Also disclosed is a medical device including the hydrophilic copolymer. The medical device exhibits high sliding property until it reaches a target lesion, and low sliding property after reaching the target lesion. Methods of making and using the hydrophilic copolymer and medical device are also described.
