A surgical kit for the repair of a nail bed includes implantable nail plate guides adapted to guide the regrowth of a fingernail over a nail bed, drapes, a suture needle with absorbable suture, a suture needle with non-absorbable suture, wound dressings, and all instruments required to perform the procedure. The instruments preferably include an elevator, a needle driver, a clamp, a tweezers, and a scissors. The kit also includes anesthesia, a syringe, and needles for loading and then administering the anesthesia to the finger. The kit may include a tourniquet, antiseptic, and an antiinfective. Therefore, the kit assembles together several nail plate guides, the instruments for implanting a selected one of the nail plate guides onto the nail bed over a patient, the pre-implantation surgical preparation materials, and the post-implantation wound care materials.

DISPOSABLE COMPONENTS FOR REUSABLE PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSOR

A sensor cartridge according to embodiments of the disclosure is capable of being used with a non-invasive physiological sensor. Certain embodiments of the sensor cartridge protect the sensor from damage, such as damage due to repeated use, reduce the need for sensor sanitization, or both. Further, embodiments of the sensor cartridge are positionable on the user before insertion in the sensor and allow for improved alignment of the treatment site with the sensor. In addition, the sensor cartridge of certain embodiments of the disclosure can be configured to allow a single sensor to comfortably accommodate treatment sites of various sizes such as for both adult and pediatric applications.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LIGAMENT BALANCING IN ROBOTIC SURGERY

Systems and methods for ligament balancing during robotic surgery. One or more transducers are positioned within a knee joint to detect forces indicative of tension in ligaments and to provide output based on the detected forces. A distraction device is used to provide a distraction force to cause movement of a distal end portion of a femur relative to a proximal end portion of a tibia to increase tension in the ligaments. Information associated with output from the transducers is displayed for viewing.

Surgical drape configured for peripherally inserted central catheter procedures

A medical drape includes a patient drape (100) and a radial drape attachment (200). The radial drape attachment can be coupled to the patient drape by way of an adhesive coupling (202). The radial drape attachment includes defines one or more fenestrations (205) or apertures through which a central line may be inserted. Some or all of the radial drape attachment (200)can be transparent or pellucid. Portions of the radial drape attachment can be opaque as well. A support layer can be configured to be absorptive, fluid impenetrable, or both. A tourniquet (1801) may be integrated with the radial drape attachment, as can one or more tool-less removal features (209). Pouches (901,902) can be added to catch fluids or hold medical implements during a procedure.
