Isocyanate polymerization catalyst, preparation method thereof, and method for preparing polyisocyanate by using same
An isocyanate polymerization catalyst, a preparation method thereof and a method for preparing polyisocyanates comprising isocyanurate groups by using the same. The catalyst is a carboxylic acid salt containing a di-quaternary ammonium ion. The structure of the catalyst contains hydroxyl-containing aromatic heterocyclic residues. The catalyst is highly active. Only a small quantity of the catalyst is required for the polymerization of isocyanates. The prepared polyisocyanates have color values lower than 25 Hazen, monomer contents of less than 0.5% by weight, high contents of isocyanurates and low viscosities.

LOW-VOID POLYURETHANES
Disclosed is a moisture-cured polyurethane adhesive containing 0.5% to 40% by weight of layered double hydroxide particles dispersed in the polyurethane. Also disclosed is a curable resin composition including a polyurethane prepolymer with an isocyanate component and a polyol component. The polyurethane prepolymer is curable with moisture and contains layered double oxide particles dispersed in the prepolymer in an amount from 0.5% to 40% by weight of the composition. A method of making a polyurethane adhesive is also disclosed.
SINGLE-COMPONENT POLYSILOXANE NON-SKID / NON-SLIP COATINGS
Disclosed is a composition having: an organosilane polymer, a polyamide polymer; and an abrasive aggregate. The organosilane is made by: reacting an amino-functional alkoxysilane with one or more polyisocyanates to form one or more adducts having an unreacted isocyanate group; and reacting the adducts with one or more polyfunctional amino- and/or hydroxyl compounds so that the polymer contains no unreacted isocyanate groups. The polyfunctional amino- and/or hydroxyl compound has a cycloaliphatic group or an aromatic group. The composition can be used to make a single-component polysiloxane non-skid/non-slip coating that is applied by rolling, spraying, or troweling and cures with atmospheric moisture.
WATERPROOF ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
Waterproof urethane-based adhesive compositions are described herein. Silane is reacted with prepolymer urethane to at least partially end-cap the urethane. A reinforcing extender, a thixotropic agent, a magnetic agent, a first catalyst, and methylethylketoximino (MEKO) silane are also added to the composition to form the deactivated adhesive composition. Prior to coating a substrate with the adhesive, a second catalyst is added. The second catalyst speeds up the curing time and improves the shelf life of the moisture cure adhesive. The adhesive is cured to a final product that is waterproof, hydrolytically stable, and pH resistant.
POLYURETHANE-BASED POLYMER MATERIAL HAVING EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO HEAT DISTORTION AND ELONGATION AT TEAR
The present disclosure relates to processes for the production of a polyurethane material, where (a) di- and/or polyisocyanates, (b) compounds which have hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanate groups and which do not include compounds having carbon-carbon double bonds, (c) compounds including at least one carbon-carbon double bond, (d) optionally catalyst that accelerates the urethane reaction, and (e) optionally other auxiliaries and additives are mixed to give a reaction mixture and the mixture is hardened at temperatures above 120 C. The present disclosure further relates to a polyurethane material obtainable by this process, and also to the use of the polyurethane material, in particular of a polyurethane fiber-composite material as structural components.
Urethane acrylate hybrid structure adhesives
A polymerizable adhesive composition comprising a two-part hybrid polymerizable adhesive composition is disclosed. In particular, the polymerizable adhesive composition comprises an organoborane monoamine complex, a free polyol comprising a dimer fatty polyol and a polyether polyol, at least one free radically polymerizable component, an isocyanate-terminated urethane pre-polymer, a free isocyanate and a low molecular weight chain extending compound. Also disclosed is methods of making and using a hybrid adhesive obtained from polymerization of the polymerizable adhesive composition.
