Dual-curing isocyanurate polymers
The present invention relates to polymerizable compositions which contain components that can be crosslinked both via isocyanurate bonds and by a radical reaction mechanism. The invention further relates to methods by way of which polymers can be produced from said compositions.
Aqueous Electrocoating Materials Comprising a Silane-Containing Crosslinker
Described herein are aqueous electrocoating materials including a silane-containing crosslinking agent, a process to produce an electrocoated substrate, an at least partly coated substrate obtained from said process, as well as a component including said at least partly coated substrate.
Method and system for producing a polyurethane polymer by means of a supported catalyst
A process for preparing a polyurethane polymer comprises the step of: I) mixing a first component (100) comprising a polyisocyanate with a second reactant component (200) comprising a compound having Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen atoms in a mixing vessel (300) to obtain a reaction mixture (400), wherein the first reactant component (100) and/or the second reactant component (200) are contacted with a catalyst bed (500) before they are mixed in the mixing vessel (300) and/or the reaction mixture (400) is contacted with a catalyst bed (500), wherein the catalyst bed (500) contains a catalyst reversibly sorbed on a substrate, the catalyst catalyses the reaction of isocyanate groups with themselves or with Zerewitinoff-active compounds and the catalyst is released into the first component (100), second component (200) or reaction mixture (400) that is in contact with the catalyst bed (500), such that a reaction mixture (410) containing the catalyst is obtained.
Biodegradable polyester-based polyurethane foams
A biodegradable foam which includes a poly-ester-based polyurethane foam and a mixture comprised of a soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria embedded in a carrier compound. The mixture of the soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria is homogenously dispersed throughout the polyester-based polyurethane foam. This biodegradable foam exhibits biodegradation rates higher than a polyester-based polyurethane foam absent the soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria.
Coating material, system based on Li/Bi catalysts
Disclosed herein is a coating material system containing (A) at least one polyhydroxy group-containing compound, (B) at least one polyisocyanate-containing compound, and (C) at least one catalyst comprising lithium (Li) and bismuth (Bi) as metal components and where the molar ratio of lithium to bismuth is at least 7:1 [mol/mol], in which i) components (A), (B), and (C) are present separately from one another, or ii) are mixed wholly or at least partly with one another. Methods for producing and using the coating material system are also disclosed herein.
Shelf stable, low tin concentration, dual cure additive manufacturing resins
Provided herein are methods of making (meth)acrylate blocked polyurethanes with zirconium catalysts, dual cure resins containing (meth)acrylate blocked polyurethanes and zirconium catalysts, methods of using the same in additive manufacturing, and products made therefrom.
Methods for reducing aldehyde emissions in polyurethane foams
Polyurethane foams are made by curing a reaction mixture that contains an aromatic polyisocyanate, at least one isocyanate-reactive material having an average functionality of at least 2 and an equivalent weight of at least 200 per isocyanate-reactive group, at least one blowing agent, at least one surfactant and at least one catalyst, at least one cyclic 1,3-diketone compound, at least one aminoalcohol or alkylhydroxylamine and an alkali metal, phosphonium or ammonium sulfite. Foams so produced emit low levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein and propionaldehyde.
FILLED POLYOL COMPOSITIONS THAT INCLUDE A TRIAZOLE
Filled polyol compositions that include a dispersion of polymer particles in a base polyol, in which the filled polyol composition further includes a triazole antioxidant. Methods for producing such filled polyol compositions are also described, as well as use of such filled polyol compositions in the production of polyurethane foams.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLAMEPROOF PUR/PIR RIGID FOAMS
A polyol formulation for producing flameproof polyurethane/polyisocyanate rigid foams (referred to individually or jointly in the following as “PUR/PIR rigid foams”), containing a polyester polyol having an OH number ≤250 mg KOH/g, a functionality of 1.5 to 2.5 and a free glycol content with Mn<150 g/mol of <6 wt. %, a polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of <700 g/mol and an average functionality of <2.5 and specific polyethyleneglycol alkylphenyl ethers, and methods for producing PUR/PIR rigid foams using said polyol formulation and to the PUR/PIR rigid foams obtained thereby are provided.
