COMPOSITION AND FOAMED POLYURETHANE ARTICLE FORMED THEREWITH
A composition for preparing a foamed polyurethane article is disclosed. The composition comprises (1) an isocyanate-reactive component and (2) an isocyanate component. The (1) isocyanate-reactive component comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane having an average of at least two carbinol functional groups per molecule and (B) a polyol. The (A) organopolysiloxane is present in an amount of from > 10 to < 99 wt.% based on the combined weight of the (A) organopolysiloxane and the (B) polyol. The (2) isocyanate component comprises (C) a polyisocyanate. The composition further comprises (D) a blowing agent, and (E) a catalyst. A foamed polyurethane article comprising the reaction product of the composition is also disclosed, along with use of the foamed polyurethane article.
FILLED POLYMERIC RESIN MATERIALS AND METHODS OF MAKING
The present disclosure provides for articles formed of a filled polymeric resin material. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to polymeric resin materials that include a filler that includes of a mixture of cured rubber granules, foam granules, and/or textile fibers. The filler can be suspended in and/or encapsulated by the polymeric resin material. The polymeric resin material, the filler, or both can include waste or scrap material from manufacturing or from ground post-consumer waste.

MEDICAL IMPLANT COMPONENT COMPRISING A COMPOSITE BIOTEXTILE AND METHOD OF MAKING
Disclosed herein is a medical implant component comprising a composite biotextile, which biotextile comprises i) a polyolefin fibrous construct comprising at least one strand with titer of 2-250 dtex, tensile strength of at least 10 cN/dtex and comprising high molar mass polyolefin fibers and ii) a coating comprising a biocompatible and biostable polyurethane elastomer comprising a polysiloxane segment and/or having one or more hydrophobic endgroups, wherein the polyurethane coating is present on at least part of the surface of the biotextile and in an amount of 2.5-90 mass % based on composite biotextile. Such composite biotextile, like a partly coated woven fabric, shows an advantageous combination of good biocompatibility, especially hemocompatibility, high strength and pliability, and laser cuttability; allowing to make pieces of fabric having well-defined regular edges that have high suture retention strength. The invention also provides a method of making said composite biotextile. Further embodiments concern the use of such biotextile in or as medical implant component for an implantable medical device and the use of such medical implant component in making an implantable medical device; such as in orthopedic applications and cardiovascular implants. Other embodiments include such medical devices or implants comprising said medical implant component.

Described herein is a liquid electrostatic ink developer assembly comprising a developer roller having a surface coating, the surface coating comprising a polyurethane resin formed from a polyol; a hydroxyl-terminated polysiloxane; and a polyisocyanate. Also, described herein is a liquid electrostatic printing apparatus comprising the liquid electrostatic ink developer assembly.

A process comprises (i) providing an isocyanate component A that is a reaction product of an aliphatic polyisocyanate, an aromatic polyisocyanate, an aliphatic polyester polyol, and a polyether polyol; (ii) providing a polyol component B comprising an aliphatic polyester polyol and a polyether polyol; (iii) mixing A and B to form a solventless adhesive (SLA) composition component A and component B each comprises an aliphatic polyester polyol having a viscosity from 800 to 6000 mPa.Math.s at 25° C. and a hydroxyl number from 60 to 180 mg KOH/g; the SLA composition has (a) an initial viscosity at 40° C. from 500 to 1600 mPa.Math.s, (b) an increasing viscosity ratio from 100% to 112% of the initial viscosity after the SLA composition stands at 40° C. for 10 min, and (c) an end viscosity at 40° C. from 120% to 210% of the initial viscosity at 40 min after forming the SLA composition.
