The present invention provides polyurethanes including a reaction product of components including: (a) an isocyanate functional urethane prepolymer comprising a reaction product of components including: (i) about 1 equivalent of at least one polyisocyanate; and (ii) about 0.1 to about 0.5 equivalents of at least one diol having 2 to 18 carbon atoms; and (b) about 0.05 to about 0.9 equivalents of at least one branched polyol having 4 to 18 carbon atoms and at least 3 hydroxyl groups; and (c) up to about 0.9 equivalents of at least one polyol different from branched polyol (b) and having 2 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein the reaction product components are essentially free of polyester polyol and polyether polyol; compositions, coatings and articles made therefrom and methods of making the same.
COMPOSITIONS, COMPRISING SILVER NANOPLATELETS
The present invention relates to radically curable compositions, comprising (A) silver nanoplatelets, (B) one reactive diluent comprising 1 to 4 (meth)acrylate groups; (C) one, or more urethane (meth)acrylates (C), which are obtainable by reaction of the following components: (a) at least one isocyanate having two isocyanate groups, (b) at least one polyalkylene oxide polyether having at least 2 hydroxyl groups, (c) at least one hydroxy-functional (meth)acrylate having one hydroxyl group and one (meth)acrylate group, (d) at least one compound having at least one isocyanate reactive group and at least one acid function, (e) if component (d) is present, optionally at least one basic compound which is present for neutralization or partial neutralization of the acid groups of component (d), (f) optionally at least one monoalcohol having one hydroxy function, and (g) optionally at least one compound having at least one primary and/or secondary amino group; (D) one, or more photonitiators; printing inks containing the compositions and their use for the production security products. Coatings obtained after curing of the compositions, show one color, when observed in transmission and another color, when observed in reflection on both sides of the cured coating. The metal-like reflection of the coatings may be further enhanced by the presence of surfactants.
URETHANE-MODIFIED (METH)ACRYLAMIDE COMPOUND AND ACTIVE ENERGY RAY CURABLE RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME
Provided is an active energy ray curable resin which has excellent compatibility with organic solvents, general purpose acrylic monomers, and oligomers, and a high curing property with an active energy ray, and also has a high adhesion property for each substrate. A cured film obtained by ultraviolet curing of the active energy ray curable resin has an excellent surface curing property, scratch resistance and bending resistance, while also having high transparency. Provided is a urethane modified (meth)acrylamide compound having a urethane bond and one or more (meth)acrylamide groups in the molecule. The urethane modified (meth)acrylamide compound has excellent compatibility with organic solvents, general purpose acrylic monomers, and oligomers, and exhibits a high curing property with an active energy ray. Also provided is an active energy ray curable resin which is obtained with the urethane modified (meth)acrylamide compound and has an excellent surface curing property, scratch resistance, and bending resistance.

The present invention provides polyurethanes including a reaction product of components including: (a) about 1 equivalent of at least one polyisocyanate; (b) about 0.05 to about 1 equivalents of at least one branched polyol having 4 to 18 carbon atoms and at least 3 hydroxyl groups; (c) about 0.01 to about 0.3 equivalents of at least one polycarbonate diol; and (d) about 0.1 to about 0.9 equivalents of at least one polyol different from the branched polyol and having 2 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein the reaction product components are essentially free of polyether polyol and the reaction components are maintained at a temperature of at least about 100 C. for at least about 10 minutes; compositions, coatings and articles made therefrom and methods of making the same.
Radiation curable and printable composition
The present invention relates to radiation of dual radiation/moisture curable compositions based on (meth)acrylate- and silane-terminated polymers that can be used as 3D printing materials and provide isotropic and elastomeric properties. The invention further relates to the use thereof as 3D printing materials and printing methods using said compositions.
