The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such urea group containing products, liquid compositions containing the same and the use of such liquid compositions as rheology control additives. Furthermore, the invention relates to a process for rheology adjustment adding such liquid composition to semi-finished or final products. The invention also relates to an article coated with the liquid composition.
Process for producing a ring-opening polymerization product
The invention relates to a process for producing a ring-opening polymerization product by reacting at least one polyisocyanate and 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxylic acid and subjecting the reaction product to a temperature within the range of from about 40 to about 150 C. in the presence of a catalytic amount of at least one non-nucleophilic base. The obtained polymerization product may be present as a foam and is suitable as binder, insulation material, sealant or coating and in the production of mattresses or wound pads.
USE OF COMPOUNDS HAVING N 2-OXO-1,3-DIOXOLANE-4-CARBOXAMIDE UNITS IN TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVES
A description is given of the use of compounds having n 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide units as a reactive component in 2-component adhesives, especially for preparing hydroxypolyurethanes or hydroxypolycarbonates for adhesives applications, where n is a number greater than or equal to 2. A description is also given of corresponding two-component adhesives and adhesive bonding methods. Employed preferably as a second component of the two-component adhesive is a polyfunctional curing agent compound which is preferably selected from polyamines which have two or more amine groups and polyols which have two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups.
POLYCARBONATE, METHOD FOR PREPARING THEREOF, AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A polycarbonate, a preparation method thereof, and an application thereof are provided. First, an ureido-pyrimidinone type diisocyanate is prepared by a first compound and a second compound. Then, a third compound and the ureido-pyrimidinone type diisocyanate are reacted to obtain a polycarbonate. The polycarbonate replaces scratch resistant metal material to avoid the disadvantages of the signal shielding, heavy weight, and static electricity when using the scratch resistant metal material in the winter. The body housing is made of polycarbonate can have a self-healing property and a good heat resistance, so the internal components can be well protected.

SYNTHESIS OF OLIGOMER FOR OPTICAL FIBER COATING
A method for making oligomers is described. The method includes reacting a polyol with a precursor having mixed functionality. The precursor includes a curable functional group and an isocyanate group capable of reacting with an alcohol group of the polyol. The precursor reacts with the alcohol group of the polyol to form a urethane linkage and to add a covalently bonded curable functional group to the polyol. The oligomers can be included in coating compositions for optical fiber and lead to coatings having improved tear strength.
