Silicone polyurea block copolymer coating compositions and methods
Silicone polyurea block copolymers are prepared by copolymerizing: (a) a diamine composition that includes a polyethylene glycol diamine, and optionally, a dipiperidyl alkane; (b) a monofunctional silicone isocyanate; and (c) a diisocyanate. Compositions useful as passivating coatings comprising the block copolymer are also provided, and substrates coated with the compositions. Methods of preparing and using the compositions are also described.
Moisture-curing compositions
The invention relates to a method for preparing polyurethanes containing alkoxysilane groups, said method comprising the step of reacting a compound containing at least one NCO group with a compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom in the presence of a catalyst component, the at least one compound containing an NCO group and/or the compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom containing at least one alkoxysilane group, so as to obtain a polyurethane containing alkoxysilane groups. The invention also relates to a polymer containing alkoxysilane groups, a method for preparing a curable polymer, a curable polymer, a cured polymer, and use thereof. The polyurethanes are prepared with use of a thermally labile tin catalyst.
Polyurethanes for osteoimplants
Biological-based polyurethanes and methods of making the same. The polyurethanes are formed by reacting a biodegradable polyisocyanate (such as lysine diisocyanate) with an optionally hydroxylated biomolecule to form polyurethane. The polymers formed may be combined with ceramic and/or bone particles to form a composite, which may be used as an osteoimplant.
Polymer containing silane groups
The invention relates to polymers containing silane groups, to a method for their production and to their use as a component of curable compositions, in particular of moisture-curing sealants, adhesives or coatings that can be applied at ambient temperature, or of hot-melt adhesives containing silane groups. The polymers containing silane groups are obtained in particular by means of a special hydroxysilane which can be produced in particular from the reaction of lactides with aminosilanes.
Deoxybenzoin-derived anti-flammable polymers
The invention provides novel flame-retardant polymers and materials, their synthesis and use. More particularly, the flame-retardant polymers are deoxybenzoin-derived polymers.
Low-corrosion fire-resistant thermoplastic resin composition
A low-corrosion fire-resistant thermoplastic resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin, a phosphinic acid salt flame retardant, a reinforced glass fiber, and a rare earth metal salt corrosion inhibitor. The resin composition improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical performance of the metal to a great extent while maintaining the high flame resistance.
Aqueous polyurethane coating material and coatings produced therefrom and having high scratch resistance and good chemicals resistance
Disclosed are aqueous coating compositions comprising at least one hydroxyl-containing compound (A), at least one compound (B) having isocyanate groups and also having hydrolyzable silane groups, and at least one catalyst (C) wherein the compound (B) has 10 mol % to less than 90 mol % of at least one structural unit (I)
—N(X—SiR″x(OR′)3-x)n(X′—SiR″y(OR′)3-y)m (I)
Where R′=hydrogen, alkyl or cycloalkyl, X, X′=linear and/or branched alkylene or cycloalkylene radical having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R″=alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, n=0 to 2, m=0 to 2, m+n=2, and x, y=0 to 2, and more than 10 to 90 mol % of at least one structural unit (II) —Z—(X—SiR″x(OR′)3-x) (II), where Z=—NH—, —NR—, —O— or —S—, where R=alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, and x, X, R′ and R″ have the definition indicated for formula (I).
STORAGE-STABLE, MOISTURE-CURING POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE WITH RAPID ADHESIVE FORMATION ON GLASS
A moisture-curing adhesive composition has a) at least one polyurethane polymer having isocyanate groups, b) at least a silane adhesion promoter, c) at least one amine catalyst, and d) at least one chelate complexing agent. Compositions are suitable especially as adhesive or sealant, in particular for glass panes, for example in vehicle construction or vehicle repair, wherein the use of a primer or activator can be dispensed with.
Medical Device Comprising Boswellic Acid
A medical composition and devices made from the composition for the delivery of extracts obtained from Boswellia genus, similar compounds synthetically derived, and in particular derivatives of triterpenes is disclosed. The medical device may be implantable, or alternatively a device which contacts the interior of a mammalian body. The medical device may be comprised, of or present an absorbable component containing Boswellia derivatives, or an eluting component. When administered into a particular body site, the Boswellia component may be released substantially and immediately, released slowly, or not released, into the body and residing actively on the medical device surface.
POLYURETHANE-BASED COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a composition containing: a composition A which contains at least one polyurethane having at least two terminal functions T of the following formula (I):
##STR00001##
and a composition B containing at least one amine,
and to the use thereof.
