The invention relates to a polyisocyanate mixture comprising a polyisocyanate component A) having aliphatically and/or cycloaliphatically bonded isocyanate groups and a polyisocyanate component B) having araliphatically and/or aromatically bonded isocyanate groups, characterized in that the polyisocyanate component A) comprises at least 0.85% by weight of sulfonate groups (calculated as SO.sub.3; molar weight=80 g/mol) in chemically bonded form and the proportion of the polyisocyanate component B) is 7 to 43% by weight of the total amount of the components A) and B). The invention further relates to the use thereof and also coating compositions comprising the polyisocyanate mixture and also the substrates coated with these coating compositions.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a coating composition that is capable of forming a coating film having good coating film appearance (e.g., smoothness) and design properties and having well-balanced coating film properties such as scratch resistance, and that allows its coating film to be cured by a simple method because of being thermally curable. The present invention relates to a coating composition and a method for preparing the same, a coating method and use thereof as well as a product coated with the coating composition. The coating composition comprises: A) a hydroxyl-containing component consisting of: a) a polycaprolactone polyol, b) a polyester polyol having a hydroxyl content of not less than 10 wt. % as measured in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4629-2, c) an optional polyacrylate polyol, and d) an optional polycarbonate polyol; and B) a polyisocyanate; wherein the equivalent ratio of isocyanate groups to hydroxyl groups of the composition is 0.5-1.2. A coating formed from the coating composition provided by the present invention has good reflowing, and especially can rapidly reflow at normal temperature.

The present invention relates to liquid dual curing (moisture) and photocuring adhesives which are optically transparent/clear. More particularly, the present invention relates to liquid optically transparent/clear adhesives having at least one photo- and/or heat-curable polyolefin-based oligomer, with or without a moisture-curable polyolefin-based oligomer; a curative package to trigger and/or accelerate cure of the oligomer(s) under appropriate cure conditions; and at least one polyolefin-based polyurethane that is not reactive under the cure conditions with the photo- and/or heat-curable polyolefin-based oligomer or the moisture-curable polyolefin-based oligomer. The present invention also relates to optical assemblies that include such optically clear adhesives.

SILICONE POLYUREA BLOCK COPOLYMER COATING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS

Silicone polyurea block copolymers are prepared by copolymerizing: (a) a diamine composition that includes a polyethylene glycol diamine, and optionally, a dipiperidyl alkane; (b) a monofunctional silicone isocyanate; and (c) a diisocyanate. Compositions useful as passivating coatings comprising the block copolymer are also provided, and substrates coated with the compositions. Methods of preparing and using the compositions are also described.
