Polyepoxidized biphenyl compounds, preparation and uses
A multi-epoxidized biphenyl compound has the formula (I) below ##STR00001##
wherein R, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are as defined in the description, as well as mixtures of at least two of the compounds. These multi-epoxidized biphenyl compounds are fully suitable as main constituents of thermosetting epoxy resins, i.e. as polyepoxides precursors. They are beneficial substitutes for bisphenol A diglycidyl ether.

The present invention relates to a bio-based polyol comprising a thiol-epoxy reaction product of an epoxidized nut or seed oil derivative, and a thiol-containing reactant. The bio-based polyol of the present invention can then be combined with a diisocyanate or a polymeric isocyanate to create a polyurethane material.

An object of the present invention is to provide a composition for forming a thermally conductive material, from which a thermally conductive material having excellent thermally conductive properties can be obtained. In addition, another object of the present invention is to provide a thermally conductive material formed of the composition for forming a thermally conductive material, a thermally conductive sheet, and a device with a thermally conductive layer.
A composition for forming a thermally conductive material of the present invention includes an epoxy compound, an inorganic substance, and a compound X containing one or more functional groups selected from the group consisting of an alkenyl group, an acrylate group, a methacrylate group, a silyl group, an acid anhydride group, a cyanate ester group, an amino group, a thiol group, and a carboxylic acid group, or having a polyamic acid structure, in which a content of the inorganic substance is 10% by mass or more with respect to a total solid content of the composition, and a content of the compound X is 10% by mass or more with respect to the total solid content of the composition.

EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDING MATERIAL FOR FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an epoxy resin composition having both excellent dispersibility of a solid curing agent and excellent impregnation of reinforcing fibers; a molding material for the fiber-reinforced composite material that has excellent dispersibility of the solid curing agent in the post-thickened resin; and a fiber-reinforced composite material that has excellent appearance quality and mechanical characteristics and little unevenness in physical properties. In order to achieve the aforementioned purpose, this epoxy resin composition has the following configuration. The epoxy resin composition includes all components (A)-(C). The degree of dispersion of component (B) in component (A) is 0.1-0.8, the viscosity at 25° C. is 0.1-100 Pa.Math.s, and the glass transition temperature of an epoxy resin cured product at any hardness between 85%-95% is at least 110° C. Phenalkamine epoxy curing agents and epoxy resin compositions containing the same
The present invention relates to a new structural class of phenalkamines, curing agent compositions comprising the phenalkamines, their use, as well as and methods of producing such phenalkamines and compositions. The phenalkamines of the present invention can be prepared by reacting cardanol with an aldehyde compound and triaminononane. These curing-agent compositions may be used to cure, harden, and/or crosslink an epoxy resin. The curing-agent compositions of this invention are of low viscosity and can be used neat or dissolved in a minimum amount of an organic solvent or diluent to effect cure of epoxy resins.

A method for producing a shaped object, the method comprising: laminating a photosensitive resin composition on an inorganic material layer of a substrate having the inorganic material layer on a surface thereof; performing a patterned exposure of the photosensitive resin composition using an i-line; and curing a pattern-exposed portion and removing an unexposed portion to form a shaped object in which a cured product of the photosensitive resin composition is formed on the substrate, wherein the photosensitive resin composition comprises an epoxy resin, at least one cationic polymerization initiator with a molar extinction coefficient in an i-line of less than 500 L.Math.mol.sup.−1.Math.cm.sup.−1 and at least one sensitizer with a molar extinction coefficient in an i-line of 500 L.Math.mol.sup.−1.Math.cm.sup.−1 or more.
RESIN COMPOSITION
Provided is a resin composition having excellent dielectric characteristics, i.e., low dielectric characteristics, in the high-frequency region, and excellent dielectric characteristics, i.e., low dielectric characteristics, under high humidity, and having practical adhesion to metal and resin substrates. More specifically, provided is a resin composition comprising an acid-modified polyolefin, an epoxy resin, and an inorganic filler, wherein a cured product of the resin composition has a dielectric loss tangent of 0.003 or less at a frequency of 10 GHz at 25° C. after storage for 168 hours under conditions of 85° C. and 85% RH (relative humidity).

An object of the present invention is to provide a composition capable of forming a thermally conductive sheet having excellent peel strength.
