A novel compound suitable as an epoxy curing catalyst; an epoxy curing catalyst using the compound; and a method for producing the compound. A compound represented by formula (1) in which X.sup.m+ represents an m valent counter cation, R.sup.1 represents an aromatic group which may have a substituent; R.sup.2 represents an alkylene group which may have a substituent; R.sup.3 represents a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, a sulfide group, a silyl group, a silanol group, a nitro group, a nitroso group, a sulfonic acid ester group, a phosphino group, a phosphinyl group, a phosphonic acid ester group or an organic group; m represents an integer of 1 or more; n represents an integer of 0-3; and R.sup.2 may bond with R.sup.1 to form a cyclic structure.

ALKOXYLATED ESTERAMINES AND SALTS THEREOF
The present invention relates to alkoxylated esteramines of Formula (I) and salts thereof. Esteramines according to the present invention may be used in cleaning composition, for example in liquid laundry detergents. They lead to improved cleaning performance of said compositions, for example when used in cold water washing conditions. They surprisingly boost grease cleaning performance of liquid laundry detergents, especially under cold water washing conditions. Whiteness is also improved. The esteramine according to the present invention show improved compatibility in liquid laundry detergent formulations.

The present invention relates to alkoxylated esteramines of Formula (I) and salts thereof. Esteramines according to the present invention may be used in cleaning composition, for example in liquid laundry detergents. They lead to improved cleaning performance of said compositions, for example when used in cold water washing conditions. They surprisingly boost grease cleaning performance of liquid laundry detergents, especially under cold water washing conditions. Whiteness is also improved. The esteramine according to the present invention show improved compatibility in liquid laundry detergent formulations.

RESIST UNDERLYING FILM-FORMING COMPOSITION CONTAINING AN AMIDE GROUP-CONTAINING POLYESTER
A resist underlayer film-forming composition capable of providing a resist underlayer film exerting a sufficient anti-reflection function particularly in a KrF process, a high solvent resistance and a high dry etching speed, and enables the formation of a photoresist pattern having a good cross-sectional shape. The composition includes a copolymer containing: structural unit (A) derived from a diepoxy compound; and structural unit (B) derived from a compound represented by formula (1) [wherein: A represents a benzene or cyclohexane ring; X represents a hydrogen atom, alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by a halogen atom, or an alkoxycarbonyl group having 2 to 11 carbon atoms; and Y represents COOH or -L-NHCOZCOOH (wherein: Z represents an alkylene group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by an oxygen atom, sulfur atom or nitrogen atom; and L represents a single bond or a spacer)].
