SILANE FUNCTIONALIZED ROSINS

Disclosed are silane functionalized rosins having multiple functionalities. Such silane functionalized rosins are curable and thus capable of providing unexpected properties for various uses and end products. Also disclosed are synthetic routes to prepare silane functionalized rosins, which are formulated with hydroxyl functional polymers to provide curable adhesive compositions. The adhesives may be used for woodworking, automotive, textile, appliances, electronics, bookbinding, and packaging. Suitable substrates can be metal, polymer film, plastics, wood, glass, ceramic, paper, and concrete.

The present invention provides a functional sheet including a functional layer provided between protective layers. The present invention relates to a polyester resin composition capable of having an excellent shrinkage rate, being heat-shrunk at a low temperature, and improving adhesion properties, without impairing insulation properties in a state of heat-shrinkable films, and a method for preparing the same. The present polyester resin composition comprises: a copolymerized polyester resin including a dicarboxylic acid-derived residue including a residue derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid; and a diol-derived residue including a residue derived from 4-(hydroxymethyl)cyclohexyl methyl 4′-(hydroxymethyl)cyclohexane carboxylate, and a residue derived from 4,4-(oxybis(methylene)bis) cyclohexane methanol, an alkali metal compound, and an alkaline earth metal compound, wherein the alkali metal compound and the alkaline earth metal compound are contained in an amount that the content ratio of the alkali metal element/the alkaline earth metal element derived therefrom is 0.01 to 1.

The invention relates to an RMA crosslinkable polymer comprising: a) at least one RMA Donor moiety X comprising a C—H acidic proton in activated methylene or methine groups, b) at least one moiety Y comprising one or more 5- or 6-membered heterocycles containing an ether-, acetal- or ketal group which in case of two or more of such heterocycles can be fused or linked, wherein the polymer has a weight-average molecular weight Mw of at least 400 g/mol and a C—H equivalent molecular weight CH EQW of at least 80 g/mol. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the RMA crosslinkable polymer, to an RMA crosslinkable composition comprising the RMA crosslinkable polymer and coated substrates.

The invention relates to an RMA crosslinkable polymer comprising: a) at least one RMA Donor moiety X comprising a C—H acidic proton in activated methylene or methine groups, b) at least one moiety Y comprising one or more 5- or 6-membered heterocycles containing an ether-, acetal- or ketal group which in case of two or more of such heterocycles can be fused or linked, wherein the polymer has a weight-average molecular weight Mw of at least 400 g/mol and a C—H equivalent molecular weight CH EQW of at least 80 g/mol.
