A ground-engaging component disposed at least partially within a planting trench formed by a planter row unit in a soil surface. The ground engaging component is capable of pivoting laterally side-to-side about a pivot axis as the ground engaging component advances in a forward direction of travel. The ground engaging component may include at least one wing extending laterally outward to form a side trench in a sidewall of the planting trench as the planter row unit advances in the forward direction of travel. The at least one wing may include a fluid outlet in fluid communication with a fluid source to deposit fluid into the side trench.

Described herein are implements and application units for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, an application unit includes a frame to be positioned in operation between two rows of plants and a plurality of flexible members coupled to the frame in operation such that the plurality of flexible members guide a lateral position of the frame to be approximately equidistant from the two rows of plants based upon whether at least one flexible member of the plurality of flexible members contacts one or more plants of the two rows of plants. The plurality of flexible members include a plurality of fluid outlets for spraying crop input in close proximity to the rows of plants.

Disclosed is an intelligent seeding and fertilizing machine for intercropping, comprising: a fixed frame, a plurality of seeding devices arranged in parallel in the fixed frame and a plurality of guide columns fixedly connected in the fixed frame, where one end of fixed frame close to a cutting mechanism is provided with a lifting plate, a side of the fixed frame is in sliding contact with an inner wall of a lifting groove, the lifting groove is provided with a lifting screw, a lifting motor is fixedly connected to a top surface of the lifting plate; each seeding device includes a frame, and a bottom surface of the frame is respectively provided with a cutting mechanism, a cleaning mechanism, a furrowing mechanism, a fertilizing mechanism, a seeding mechanism and a soil covering mechanism, and the above mechanisms and the lifting motor are all electrically connected with a control system.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR USE IN ESTABLISHING OR RE-ESTABLISHING PLANT LIFE IN A LAND AREA
An apparatus for use in establishing or re-establishing plant growth over a land area. The apparatus includes a supply of a growing medium and an arrangement including at least one delivery outlet for delivering the growing medium at spaced intervals from a height onto a soil surface of the land area. The growing medium contains seeds or is delivered in tandem with and on top of seeds deposited on the soil surface or deposited onto or adjacent to seeds or seedlings already deposited on the soil surface.
Seed tube guard with integral fluid channel for agricultural planters
A seed tube guard for agricultural planters is cast from a high-chrome cast-iron alloy or manufactured from other wear-resistant material. The seed tube guard has a leading front surface, a trailing rear surface, and respective right and left surfaces. A fluid delivery channel is integrated within the body of the seed tube guard between the leading front surface and the trailing rear surface, and between the right and left surfaces. The fluid delivery channel has an entrance and an exit with the exit located below and rearward of the entrance for delivering fluid into a seed furrow ahead of a seed tube exit.

A seed tube guard for agricultural planters is cast from a high-chrome cast-iron alloy or manufactured from other wear-resistant material. The seed tube guard has a leading front surface, a trailing rear surface, and respective right and left surfaces. A fluid delivery channel is integrated within the body of the seed tube guard between the leading front surface and the trailing rear surface, and between the right and left surfaces. The fluid delivery channel has an entrance and an exit with the exit located below and rearward of the entrance for delivering fluid into a seed furrow ahead of a seed tube exit.
