AQUEOUS DISPERSION
To solve the problems described herein, this invention provides a resin emulsion for primers capable of suitably controlling sagging when a base coating is applied and capable of obtaining a smooth appearance in aqueous paint systems for plastics. The invention provides an aqueous dispersion comprising an acid-modified polyolefin resin (A), a nitrogen-containing non-ionic emulsifier (B), and water, wherein the acid-modified polyolefin resin (A) is a propylene-?-olefin copolymer having a butene content of 2 to 35 mass % in a polyolefin component, and wherein a coating film after baking at 80? C. has a pure water contact angle of 40? to 90?.
DEGRADABLE COPOLYMERS OF ENOL ETHERS WITH OLEFINIC MONOMERS
A polymer is the reaction product of a substituted or unsubstituted 2,3-dihydrofuran, a substituted or unsubstituted 2,3-dihydropyran, or a mixture of any two or more thereof with a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkenyl monomer, or a mixture of any two or more thereof, in the presence of a ring-opening metathesis catalyst. In some embodiments, the substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkenyl monomer is a substituted or unsubstituted norbornene monomer.

CO.SUB.2.-philic crosslinked polyethylene glycol-based membranes for acid and sour gas separations
This disclosure relates to CO.sub.2-philic crosslinked polyethylene glycol membranes useful for natural gas purification processes. Also provided are methods of using the membranes to remove CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2S from natural gas.
Copolymer of a bisphenol diglycidyl ether and a phenolphthalene and/or a phenolphthalimidine, method for the preparation thereof, article comprising the copolymer, and compositions comprising the copolymer
A copolymer exhibiting improved heat resistance relative to phenolic resins is formed by the reaction of a bisphenol diglycidyl ether and a phenolphthalein and/or a phenolphthalimidine in a molar ratio of 0.98:1 to 1.02:1 in the presence of a catalyst. The copolymer can be used to mold plastic parts. The copolymer is also useful as a flexibilizer in thermoset compositions, and useful as a compatibilizer in blends of polar and non-polar polymers, and blends of non-polar polymers and polar fillers.
Cyclic amide initialized polyetheramine and uses thereof
A polyetheramine produced from a cyclic amide initiator which is first alkoxylated and then reductively aminated to form the polyetheramine. The polyetheramine of the present disclosure may be used in a variety of applications, such as a raw material in the synthesis of a dispersant for use in an aqueous pigment dispersion or as a fuel additive in a hydrocarbon fuel composition.
