To provide a curable resin composition of which a cured product has excellent heat-resistance and dielectric properties, and a cured product thereof, and a prepreg, a circuit board, a build-up film, a semiconductor sealing material, and a semiconductor apparatus having both excellent heat resistance and dielectric properties. The invention has an indane scaffold represented by the following general formula (1):

##STR00001##

in formula (1), Ra's are each independently an alkyl group, an alkyloxy group or an alkylthio group, which has 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group, an aryloxy group or an arylthio group, which has 6 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a hydroxyl group, or a mercapto group, and q represents an integer value of 0 to 4.

SEMICONDUCTOR MIXED MATERIAL AND APPLICATION THEREOF

A semiconductor mixed material comprises an electron donor, a first electron acceptor and a second electron acceptor. The first electron donor is a conjugated polymer. The energy gap of the first electron acceptor is less than 1.4 eV. At least one of the molecular stackability, π-π* stackability, and crystallinity of the second electron acceptor is smaller than the first electron acceptor. The electron donor system is configured to be a matrix to blend the first electron acceptor and the second electron acceptor. The present invention also provides an organic electronic device including the semiconductor mixed material.

CHARGE-TRANSPORT POLYMER AND ORGANIC ELECTRONIC ELEMENT

One embodiment relates to a charge transport polymer containing a molecular chain and terminal groups bonded to the molecular chain, wherein the terminal groups include a terminal group P containing a polymerizable functional group and a terminal group B containing an aromatic hydrocarbon group substituted with a branched or cyclic substituent, and among the carbon atoms contained in the ring of the aromatic hydrocarbon group, if the carbon atom that is bonded to the molecular chain is numbered 1, and numbers are assigned in order to the adjoining carbon atoms, then the branched or cyclic substituent is bonded to a carbon atom numbered 1+2n (wherein n is an integer of 1 or greater).

Method for producing temperature-stable polyalkenylenes

The polymerization of cycloalkenamer is stopped by adding an alkyl vinyl derivative. Subsequently compound A is added, wherein compound A has at least one of the features i) or ii): i) at least one functional group or ii) at least one saturated or unsaturated aliphatic or aromatic heterocyclic ring having 3 to 14 ring atoms, wherein the ring atoms contain at least one carbon atom and at least one atom selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur. A membrane filtration is subsequently carried out. This type of production produces polyalkenamers which are temperature-stable at 180 C.

GAS SENSORS AND METHODS OF SENSING A GAS-PHASE ANALYTE

Gas sensors are provided. The gas sensors comprise: a substrate; a plurality of electrodes on the substrate; and a polymeric sensing layer on the substrate for adsorbing a gas-phase analyte. The adsorption of the analyte is effective to change a property of the gas sensor that results in a change in an output signal from the gas sensor. The polymeric sensing layer comprises a polymer chosen from substituted or unsubstituted polyarylenes comprising the reaction product of monomers comprising a first monomer comprising an aromatic acetylene group and a second monomer comprising two or more cyclopentadienone groups, or a cured product of the reaction product. The gas sensors and methods of using such sensors find particular applicability in the sensing of gas-phase organic analytes.

CAPACITIVE PRESSURE SENSOR WITH BOTTLEBRUSH ELASTOMER DIELECTRIC LAYER FOR LOW PRESSURE SENSING

A composition of matter including a crosslinked bottlebrush polymer, wherein the crosslinker units in the composition of matter are soluble with the bottlebrush polymer. In one example, the crosslinked bottlebrush polymer is tailored as a single phase (solvent free) elastomer useful in a capacitive pressure sensing device. A novel embodiment of the present invention further includes demonstration of a universal approach to form solvent-free bottlebrush polymer networks by photo-crosslinking mixtures of well-defined bottlebrush precursors and bis-benzophenone-based additives. This method has been proven effective with a wide variety of different side-chain chemistries.
